She leaned closer to find out more. William's room had become silent for a few seconds before she heard him get on another call again. "Hello Exosi, how are you today?" His caller must have answered, greeting him also. "I'm fine. How's work going?" William continued the conversation, "Do you still run that thug life group, I need a favor" Thugs? Why? Sophia grew curious. She held her breath as she waited to hear all of it. "Yes! Yes! That one. I need about five men from it. Are they still available?"

I couldn’t wait to talk to him and remove that look from his handsome face. My cell vibrated and my heart leaped. Maybe it was Victor calling me back. I couldn’t wait to tell him I wanted to go to the prom with him and beg him to forgive me. But my caller ID told me it was William instead. “Oh, not now,” I mumbled. I didn’t want to talk to him while I was waiting to talk to Victor, but it would be rude to not answer. “Hi, William,” I said after accepting the call. “Daisy, I need to speak to you right away,” William said. His tone told me he thought it was urgent.

He gave a light bow and turned to press his phone. 'What are you doing here, boss? I read his message and scoffed. As*hole. 'The same thing you're doing here dummy, now answer my question. I fumed as I send the message. 'Well… That's William, my Dad. I read, and my eyes bulged immediately. William? The same William? He's popular known in the whole San Francisco, he's a notorious criminal but trust me he has never been caught before- he would always escape his crimes.

Dan advises, no bullshit in his tone. Katherine: Hey Josh, it's Katherine from last night. For a brief second, a flicker of disappointment crossed her face, but she quickly masked it with a graceful nod. “Of course.” She stood and exited the room, her heels clicking against the floor. I stepped a few paces forward. “Yes, sir?” I repeated, confused. William crossed his arms, his piercing gaze never leaving mine. “Aren’t you going to ask why I called you in here?” I frowned slightly. “To inform me you’re not firing me?”

" Sure, I need to make a call. " I can't believe Mini's plan has worked. I messaged Vicky. It's his responsibility next. I turn to stride back in her room. She is already walking toward me, " I'm not getting my phone. I need to tell this to Mini. If she'll be at our side it'd be easy to persuade my mother. " I forward my hand with my phone. She lit the screen. Abruptly, she stops when she glances at the wallpaper, " Can you dial her number? " She asks.

"We're all excited you found your mate at last." He reached into his pocket and brought out a small piece of paper. "Both mine and Empusa's numbers are on this," he said, holding the paper out to William. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to call. Allies are always good to have." William took the paper from him with a nod of agreement. Then he considered the strangeness of the two of them working together; especially if they expected a war between the species to begin again. When he thought about it, he realized they'd always been together when he saw them; as far back as he could remember. "How does a wolf and a vampire remain friendly with this going on?" he asked.

"I'm assuming you're not the chef." "God, no. I’m the man who makes sure the King looks like a King," he said, reaching out to flick a stray hair from my shoulder with a gloved hand. "And apparently, I’m the man who has to turn you into a Goddess of War in the next three hours. He called me at 4:00 AM, sounding... different. Now I see why." Elena I stared at my phone, my heart pounding like a drum in my chest. Mom was on the other end, chatting like it was no big deal. We were supposed to be talking about brunch plans, but then she said it. "Oh, by the way, honey, Daniel's coming to the wedding weekend at the mountain lodge.
