"The ledger is secured, but the decryption key is with the boy," Roman said, his voice clipped and professional, completely masking the agonizing pain he was in. "Change of plans. Release the captain. Let him walk out of the warehouse. We're bringing the rookie to Pier 44 to unlock the drive."
There was a long, agonizing pause on the other end of the line, the sound of the ocean wind whipping through the microphone, before the gruff voice finally grunted. "Copy that. The hockey player is being cut loose. Bring the kid."
