“Everyone acts like we’re charity cases.” He paused, then gave a small awkward laugh. “And I guess… I was trying to impress you.” That made me frown. “Impress me?” I repeated. “Why are you trying to impress me when you clearly have a girlfriend?” Alex looked confused. “Girlfriend?” “Jason’s sister,” I said. “You were literally making out with her yesterday.” He groaned softly. “Yeah… about that.” I waited. He rubbed his face. “Look, I came here on a scholarship,” he began. “But the money doesn’t cover everything. Projects, food, small expenses… and I also send money back home to my family.”

The only reason why Chairman Bang had asked him out for tea was because he wanted a server that the Biggs owned. It was worth billions of dollars as it contained the information of thousands of citizens at Caryl. The server was developed by the Biggs and it belonged to them. There's no way he was going to let Chairman Bang have it. “Mr. Neo, should I decline Chairman Bang’s invitation?” Stephany asked carefully.

Damien smiled, reassuring me. Ashiel appeared from the library, rubbing sleepy eyes. “What all the noise for?” “Well,” Damien said proudly, “Cris is going to be a father.” “That’s amazing, bro! I’m so proud of you,” Ashiel said happily. “Have you called the doc?” “He’ll be here soon,” I said. Ashiel nodded and smiled again. ⸻ Damien POV — Seeing Cris so happy brought me a strange mix of joy and pain. He deserved this, and I was glad he’d soon have a child. Everything would be okay for him — he would lead the park as the heir with his family safe.

I was going to screw the bastard who dared to be on par with me. “This is Kris. A new prodigy I discovered a few months ago. He's the second hacker to make history.” Mr Yang had a habit of always exaggerating his newest addition to his massive team of skilled hackers and prodigies. But I got to admit he did know how to recruit the best of the bests. I smiled at Kris and shooked hands with him. He had delicate hands which spoke a lot about him. He definitely was a nerd who buries his head in front of the computer screens and does nothing else.

I’m not expecting any visitors today so I just think that it’d be Axl. Ganon ang ginawa niya dati. Kapag naiisipang pumunta dito ay hindi naman iyon nagpapaalam.

Jake cussed. "Your wounds are healing...Jade Dunlop you fucking genius" Jade said with a clean smirk.

Hearing him say these things made me smile. Cyrus is surprisingly sweet and a gentleman, opposite to what I thought of him before. "Or we can enjoy this moment with a dance..." I cut him off and he stared at me. John Legend's All of Me playing on the background and I was amazed at how horrified he looked. "You aren't scared of dancing, are you?" Teasing him is so fun. He gulped down and just shook his head. Oh, I did not expect him to agree right away. "I was just kidding. I don't even dance." I told him with a laugh. His face then looked relieved. I can't help but giggle.

I spilt the tears. My heart was hammering in my chest, and I can't seem to stop replaying the moment. It was just too embarrassing that the person I've had a crush on since i first stare has his brown eyes, even if it was just for a short while, I still can't stop the memory of slap that still replay on my head. I just let my "pride" down and cry my heart out because it was just too hurt, not just because of the slap or the public but because I had a "CRUSH" on him, a crush on a lowful guy.
