"I can't talk to you like this! Go! Take a bath you piece of sh*t!" For Celine to curse, Mingyu realized that he must really take a bath. This is very an awkward escalation of things between them. Period.

It always happens whenever I'm scared. "Calm down, Cara, lest you reveal your powers to him," Hana whispers angrily. "If that happens we can kiss this place goodbye because we'll be thrown out as bad bloods." Bad bloods. Otherwise known as the Ruined, or the Cursed. The spoilt apples.

Too many truths sitting on top of each other like they didn’t know where to settle. Ivan. The curse. The marking. The fear that something irreversible had already begun. I pushed myself off the door and walked into the bathroom, needing the water, needing something that could drown the noise in my head. The moment I slid into the bath, warmth surrounded me, but it didn’t calm me. It never did. Instead, it gave my thoughts space to breathe. And they did. A lot. Ivan’s voice replayed in my head first. “I’m not rejecting her.”

“Me inside you. It keeps the curse at bay.” The sound of his footsteps retreating echoed louder than anything else, the door slamming behind him. Only when the silence settled did I push myself upright, my knees shaking under me. Everything hurt. Deep inside me. I reached between my legs and my fingers came back with the wetness of my blood and him. A sound slipped out of me—a sob I hadn’t meant to make. I shoved my hand against my mouth. But it was already too late. “…And I just took a fucking bath.”

A freak accident that left me completely alone in the world. But now, I couldn’t help but wonder. Were they werewolves too? Had they known this would happen to me? Alaric said the curse didn’t activate unless you killed someone. If they were werewolves, had they never triggered the curse? Or was it something else entirely? I glanced at the window, where the light of the setting sun was fading, giving way to the night. The full moon was coming. I could feel it—a strange hum at the back of my mind, growing stronger with each passing moment.

A soothing warmth spread through his arm, easing the pain. "Thank you," Erin whispered. The old woman's expression turned somber. "This respite is temporary. Your hand will soon be condemned totally if you find no cure." Erin's grip on his injured hand tightened. " I'm trying my best" The witch's eyes clouded. "Seek Aria's body immediately" Erin's determination ignited. "I will soon be able." Uncle Malcolm sank deeper into the warm bath, surrounded by the soft glow of candles and the gentle curves of scantily clad women. Wine glasses cluttered the marble countertop, and the air was heavy with the scent of perfume.

Without hesitation, I let go and let the beast take control. With each stride, I got closer to the cursed pool that had almost claimed me once as I thundered through the jungle, four paws rapping the ground with deadly rhythm. With its ragged arch opening like a beast about to devour me whole, the cave's mouth emerged into view. I changed into my human shape and rushed forward, bursting into the darkness without slowing. In the darkness, that foul, glistening water radiated a radiance too lovely to be anything but lethal. Like a live creature, it pulsed softly.

He looked a little disheveled. After almost crashing his way through the apartment door, Evan shouted for Carmen. Tracking where she was based on her cries, he rushed into the bathroom. Inside the steamy bathroom, Carmen was sitting on the vanity with nothing but a towel around her. When she saw Evan, she cried out with a pout, "There's a rat, darling…" Exhaling in relief, Evan walked up to Carmen and put his arms around her waist before kissing her on the shoulder. There was a faint hickey there. I saw Evan making it with my own eyes last night.

I really couldn’t wait to leave this place. They led me to a grand bathroom, where the scent of lavender and jasmine filled the air. The tub was already drawn, fresh petals floating on the surface of the steaming water. I undressed and sank into the bath. A small smile tugged at my lips as the warmth enveloped me. For a moment, it felt like all my pain was washed away. But then I saw it. Faint, dark lines on my wrist. My heart clenched. Lucas. He would pay for what he did. I was sure his cursed pack was celebrating my supposed death, dancing over my grave.

Selena didn’t know how long it had been since Theo, with all the grace of a gremlin godparent, grabbed her by the arm and hurled her face-first through a magical door like he was tossing a sack of mildly cursed potatoes. Now here she was—cheek smushed against the dusty, mossy floor of what looked like a half-abandoned temple from a low-budget horror film. Her dignity had clearly been left behind somewhere between the ER and whatever cursed GPS coordinates this shrine belonged to.
