"What kind of power?" Dominic shook his head. "I cannot tell you that now. But if you come with us, we will explain everything to you."Danielle hesitated. She had always been a bit of a skeptical when it came to supernatural things, but something in Dominic's eyes made her believe that he was telling the truth. She glanced at the sturdy guy, who was still looking at her expectantly, and then back at Dominic.

Channon asks. "No. She's a half demon and half human but, demons like them are acting like vampires that craves blood when the time comes." Aitan explained. "What?!" They all exclaimed and Alexis grabs Aitan's hand again and when she's going to suck his fingers again Don arrived. "What the hell are you doing?!" He screamed and the waiters got shocked and tried their best not to let the trays fall down on the floor. "Damn." Don exclaimed then puts his hand on his face in frustration. The waiters put all the foods on the table.

Then it came, the eerie silence, the one that always followed me around. In that moment nothing existed but me and Kenny for the simple fact that she kept her eyes on me. Behind them I saw everything, fear, shock, confusion, .. yet nothing consumed her or rather she had complete control of her reactions. I had no intention of breaking the silence this time. No this time it was going to be her. After a few minutes or something like that. Time can be weird when it’s stretched out thin. “What’s a demon?” She says face flat as if she asked me what I wanted for lunch. My pulse was at a steady pace but beating hard against my chest neck and abdomen.

Cameron leaned in, his elbow resting on the back of his sofa. “You did perfectly fine, Danielle.” Hearing him call out my real name reminded me of the lie I’d been living for the last few years. “Didn’t you see how speechless you left them after the meeting? Elijah couldn’t take his eyes off you.” And he didn’t have the slightest idea that I was the woman back to destroy him. I turned to hold his gaze. “You’re right, but… It was so hard facing him. I think I need a few more hours to get back on track.”

Their panic was contagious, my heart racing with fear and uncertainty. As I drank, caught in a storm of emotions, Dane's voice was a calming whisper, "Shhh, kitten, it's okay," while Deirk, holding me firmly against Dane's neck, hummed the lullaby he sang each night in Spanish. All I could think was... Were they trying to calm me, lull me into sleep, or was I on the verge of becoming a vampire myself? As the rich, warm blood flowed from Dane into me. I teetered on the brink of consciousness. Dane's voice, emanating from somewhere above as I clung to his neck, added an eerie layer to the experience.

As I sit on the couch, I notice there’s a lake behind the house with a little dinghy out there, but what caught my eye was across the lake was a house that was way bigger than this one. So big, in fact, that I could make out details. Nice house, but that was it about that. That lake looked so inviting. I wanted to take a swim but thought maybe I’d wait for Di to get here, in case there’s alligators or some shit out there. Back to the couch and tv. Noah grabbed her hand. “I wanted to but Luane said we needed to let that Demon guy help you" Myla furrowed her eyebrows then turned to Luane. “Why?" Luane sighed. “You said you wanted to get closer to him, right? Him saving you was going to make him get closer to you" Myla frowned as she dropped Noah's hand.
