At the beginning of a new year, I stay at the hospital to take care of my mother-in-law on my own. My wife, Yelena Lipton, on the other hand, is on a vacation with her first love, Phillip Warren, in a tropical island overseas. Funnily enough, I'm the last one who finds out about her impending marriage with Phillip. When my mother-in-law hears about the news, her condition deteriorates to the point she gets sent into the treatment room immediately. I have to call Yelena over a dozen times for her to finally pick up the call. "Do you have a death wish or something? Why did you bombard me with calls? I'm in the middle of something right now, so leave me alone!" After that, Yelena ends the call. Since then, I keep failing to get in contact with her. During that time, my mother-in-law has passed away from the treatment failure. When I'm done organizing the funeral, I send Yelena a divorce agreement right away. "Have you gone nuts? It's just an announcement to cheer Phillip up! Are you seriously going to file a divorce from me?" After hearing Yelena's accusations, I reply calmly, "Mom's dead. I've already dealt with everything concerning her passing. You should come back and visit her grave."

Annie read the contract file, again and again, to see every clause of it so that she doesn't regret anything later. Her eyes widened as she saw a particular clause and she grabbed the file and entered the cabin swiftly. "Smart, isn't it?" Annie asked with a small smile as Sandy turned to her side. "Why don't you add some more conditions in this contract from my side too?" She dared to ask him but Sandy didn't show his surprised look as he just nods to let her proceed. "It stated that I can't leave the job. Why don't you add that you too can't fire me without any reason?" She asked showing that she won't ever leave the job even if she had to go through hell. Sandy smiled realising how fun it would be to play with her. "Anything else?" Sandy asked without breaking his stares toward her. "I don't know why you want me to work under you. But the only thing matters to me is the salary package" she replied with a wide grin making him more curious about the girl in front of him. "Welcome to hell, Cinderella" he spoke handling the appointment letter. "I am not Cinderella" she snapped at him immediately. Why is so hard for him to call her Annie? Shoes can be a cupid to normal Cinderella tales. But here, it's not normal love story neither is she is Cinderella. She looks as innocent as Cinderella. She looks as beautiful as Fairy. But that is the problem. In reality, she is something whom no one can ever think to mess with. Sandy captured her to give her hell of time. But is it really him who have captured her or there is something more to her?

As I was about to leave my brother’s restaurant, the female manager stopped me. "Miss, excuse me, but you haven’t paid your bill." I looked at the unfamiliar face and thought that she was probably new and didn’t recognize me, so I explained politely, "Just put it on the owner’s tab. He knows me." The manager shot me a disdainful look. "Miss, this is a Michelin three-star restaurant. We don’t let just anyone run up a tab." She handed me a printed bill. I glanced at it. Fifty thousand dollars for one meal. Three thousand for tableware maintenance, five thousand for exclusive air purification, ten thousand for a VIP mood-calming service fee, and a bunch of other ridiculous charges. I didn’t even know my brother’s place was such a scam. I couldn’t help but laugh in disbelief. "I’m the owner’s sister. If there’s a problem, tell him to talk to me at home." But she just wouldn’t drop it. "If you can’t afford it, stop acting like you can. And don’t act like you know Mr. White, either." I fired off a quick text to my secretary. 【Tell my brother to either fire this manager or I’m pulling my investment.】

I choked, fighting for air as my throat swelled in agony, begging him to save me. Instead, he turned and locked me in the basement. "Betty suffered because of you, so don't expect any comfort. Stay down here and reflect on what you've done. Growing up without any real guidance. No wonder you're so vicious." Two days later, my mom remembered me. "Ralph, that's enough. Let Catherine out. If she stays there much longer, she might start resenting Betty." My dad chimed in casually, "What's the big deal? Just buy her something nice to make up for it." My spirit clung to his back, floating along with them toward the basement. I'd like to see how they were going to compensate a dead girl.

You're nothing but a homewrecker trying to take advantage of the free preschool program. Get down and apologize at once!" Fine. Since everyone is as blind as my husband, Rhett Montiago, in realizing who the real deal is, I decide that I am not sparing a single one of them.
