Although they don't look like ordinary people with different hair colors, eyes, and species, except for Camila, I'm not afraid of them. I'm having a good time chatting with them, and I learned much about who they are. Saye, Arlo, and Jippis are demons. I thought demons were scary and ugly looking, red with horns, and had a snake-like tongue, always red and surrounded by fire to represent hell that wants to eat your soul. You always see them on Halloween posters or costumes; Saye, Arlo, and Jippis don't look like that. They don't look scary at all. I feel like they came out of a comic book, like a superhero.

Sybil felt a little sick at the idea of being happy at killing something so innocent. “Are you sure you know what this is?” She nodded. Clearly the demonic had a serious issue going on at the moment. This war being fought, it was with truly evil creatures. “A demon, and the only kind of spider demon I can think of that meets what I feel and see is the Jorogumo. I’ve only heard, never seen nor dealt with something of that caliber. From what I know it’s a female demon and she is a high level one.” Aries jaw clenched slightly and he looked really dark.

The Demon King leaned back, one leg slung over the armrest, grinning down at me with a slow, cruel smile. He was red-skinned and powerfully built and his body seemed to have been carved from molten stone. Two curved horns rose from his brow and black hair darker than night itself flowed down his back. A short, trimmed beard traced his jaw, but what caught my attention the most was the fact that he was... NAKED? “What in the fuck?” I muttered under my breath as I placed my hands over my eyes, trying to avoid the eye of the monster in between his legs. "Where the hell are your clothes?”

Joaqin’s brows knitted. “What is that I’m hearing? Demons having loyalty or are you simply scared of that demon?” Joaqin started mocking Linus. The demon always speak like he’s the most powerful being in the world so this is a first for Joaqin. Linus grinned, “You can say that it’s both. As I’ve said, that demon is really scary but he’s also the one who saved me. Although I wouldn’t call it loyalty, that concept doesn’t exist in my system, not anymore.”

I answered coolly. He strutted across the room and went to stand in a glass window where the outside showed a good angle of the veranda and the Winner Family pool. He smiled, pleased over something that he saw. I wondered what it was then. What is advantageous of being a demon is that we get to read another person's mind. We can use it for or against them. But before an angel, we are helpless. It is either they have barriers in their too-holy brains or they are just dead on imagination. I prefer to think it is the latter.

It had baffled when he was just a mere mortal, but it floored him now as a demon. Her stubborn will to be both defiantly strong and soft in his hands had caused the sadistic side of Young to rear its head in Blood, pushing for an opportunity to turn her to clay. It never made any sense how she embodied love and light at all times, even when the harsh parts of herself were shown. In the same token, her display of blind trust in him was a gift he never wanted to take for granted so he was torn, now more than ever.

I'll just fart or something instead. I turn the faucet of hot water on the bathtub and throw in some bubble bath solution. While I wait for the bath to fill up, I strip off my shirt, vest, and pants, not to mention my boots, and step into the shower. Turning the faucet unleashes a spray of cold water on me, but it quickly heats up. The water runs through my hair and down my face and goes the rest of the way down my body. My wings that are wrapped around my torso relax and expand to their magnificent size. Being half angel and half demon automatically gives you wings too. But the wings aren't anything like the two. Angels have beautiful bird-like wings, like eagles and ospreys and hawks, whe
