She either ignores the way he is checking her out or she doesn’t notice it. I don’t see how she couldn’t notice because he isn’t hiding it. Now that I think about it Silvy never notices when a guy is checking her out. Hell, I have seen Rocket check her out once.

Vincent repeated, still not wanting to introduce his friend. Anderson felt that Vincent was denying it, so he took his steps instead. "What's your name? Let me introduce myself. My name is Anderson Silva, and I am the CEO of Horus Tech Corporation and the boss of your friend, David Clyde." Anderson stretched his hand to Grace. It made Vincent gasp in surprise at his recklessness. Meanwhile, Grace was confused, frowned, and turned to Vincent.

Concern. Something deeper… something unspoken. I turned to him, offering a soft, reassuring smile. “I’m sure.” And I meant it. Or at least… I wanted to. “Vincenzo is an amazing person. You’ll see it too, once you get to know him.” For a moment, something flickered in Silvio’s eyes. Dark. Sharp. Gone before I could understand it. “Trust me,” I added quietly. “He’s the one for me.”

We lived it. Breathed it.” “I was one of HQ’s best marksmen,” he said casually, as if talking about grocery shopping. “Sniper division. Long-distance hits. Mostly infiltration support. One shot, one ghost.” Ruby raised her eyebrows. “Here we go.” Silvio smirked. “What? It’s true.”

He didn’t even glance down, he just held a glass of bourbon, eyes glued to the cage with that gleam he always got when something was about to get broken. “Place your bets now. I give it three rounds max before Remo's coughing up blood," I said. Vincenzo just took a long drag from his cigar. “Two rounds. Luca’s pacing himself lately. He l likes to play with his food.” And then Silvio walked straight to the front, I didn’t even know he was coming. He just appeared out of the smoke and dropped into the seat beside Vincenzo without asking, without a glance. He was in a charcoal suit, no tie, shirt open at the collar. Eyes bloodshot, jaw clenched, hands in his pockets like he was forcing himself

he muttered under his breath, but I heard him as he was almost sitting opposite me. I glared at him. “I am no one’s woman.” Silvano hadn’t said a word since I came in. He just sat there, swirling the dark liquid in his glass, his dark eyes unreadable as they were locked on me. To me, his silence was louder than everyone else's noise and I wanted him to talk. I wanted him to say something, like stop me from drinking the wine. The wine was alcoholic, I knew the minute I drowned it in my mouth.

So I took a sip of the water in front of me and waited. I had learnt one thing while getting to know Reine. Silence was the best means to get her to talk. Asking a lot of questions would just make her balk and she would never give you the answer you were looking for. It was much easier to wait for her to give you a concrete answer. “I’m sorry. But she wanted to know why I had not told her anything about you. And she saw the ring. Sandra knows everything about me. I couldn’t lie to her and tell her it was love at first sight. She knows me well enough to know it’s not the truth.”
