The tantalizing aroma wafts through the air, a stark contrast to the heaviness that hangs over me. Silver's smile, warm and comforting as always, fails to elicit a response from me. My mind is still consumed by the haunting conversation I overheard, replaying their words over and over again. "Were they really discussing my elimination?"
