Most of the script had the same spacing. The same structure. A line would start, indent, close, indent again like steps on a staircase but halfway down the screen the rhythm broke, just slightly. I squinted. The letters still swam when I tried to read them normally, but the shapes didn’t lie. That section looked... crooked like someone had kicked one stair out of place. My heart beat a little faster. I leaned closer. 07:43 Okay. Okay.

Elara Fading is not like dying. There is no sharp end. No clear moment where everything stops. It is quieter than that. Slower. Like a voice becoming harder to hear, not because it is silenced, but because it is no longer the center of attention. That is what I feel. Not gone. Not yet. But no longer… essential. The system is stable. Perfectly. The threads hold without strain. The core no longer trembles. The structure stands clean and uninterrupted, every part aligned under a single, undeniable point of control.

The magic book opened on its own, Rico and Niffa patiently wait for whatever the blank page will going to write, they were seated, together, at the long wooden table surrounded by the wall of books. A light was formed, and the empty page was filled with letterings in a freestyle script carved within the thin sheet of paper. They narrowed their eyes trying to read the first letter, it was too bright, and the lettering was almost as white as the paper. The light vanished and the letters turned into tinted black, thick and printed, not written by a hand. The whole page was filled, it says,

But no one left letters anymore, not like this. A cold thought crept in, unwelcome but sharp. Someone else. My hands felt unsteady as I slipped a finger under the seal. The paper tore with a soft hiss, too loud in the silence. Inside was a single sheet, folded neatly. I unfolded it, my breath slowing, my chest tightening. Six words stared back at me. “You will never be Luna.” The letters were thick, written with a heavy hand, as if the pen had been pressed too hard into the page. Below it, smaller, as though whispered even through ink:

Lenalee's words in her letter said there might be a peaceful way to end the war. "Say, Lord Phineas…" I took out the letter and handed it to him. "There were ink blots ruining the rest of the letter. Do you have a spell to remove it?" "I am afraid I can't, Luna." He eyed the pages of her letter. "Although the outside world could do this, seeing they have surprising spells or…these things they called modern technology." "Oh." I couldn't hide my disappointment and poured myself another shot. "I would like to know more about those hidden words but perhaps it was spilled by ink after she left the letter here. But…I don't know."

The words on the letter were disappearing as he was speaking and in two seconds it became a blank paper. “Whoa… it disappeared…” “Let me take a look,” Wen held up his hand. He jumped down and they both glanced at the empty paper. “Game has changed. We have to figure out what this paper is?” he rubbed his hands excitedly. “hmm..” Wen Ro also seemed excited by this. Just as they looked at it few words appeared on it. The letters looked like they were written in a hurry. Wen glanced at him. “I can’t read.”

Fingers twitched at the side, aching to wipe it away, but the hand wouldn’t move. Something in the air held it there. A drop of water traced the path of the final letter, smearing it slightly, but not enough to erase its meaning. Outside the door, a faint sound a shuffle, a pause. The kind of pause that feels deliberate. Then another sound, closer this time. The mirror’s surface cooled for a moment, the words fading into the mist, only to reappear darker, sharper, as though the writer wanted to make sure they stayed. The steam began to thin.

But even through the blur of my tears, I notice something strange. The letters begin to shift. The ink swirls across the parchment, rearranging itself as though alive. And new words, ones that were not there before, bleed onto the page.
