The light surged forward, illuminating the battlefield and dispersing the darkness that threatened to engulf us. I felt the warmth of my pack surrounding me, their strength bolstering my resolve as we fought back against the encroaching shadows. As the light clashed with darkness, I turned to Eden, my heart swelling with love and pride. "Stay close to me!" I urged, my voice steady despite the chaos. "We will face this together!" With our powers combined, we pushed back against the darkness, the light illuminating the path to victory. The Black Faes faltered, their dark magic flickering as they struggled against the force of our unity.

A radiant light poured from it, flooding the battlefield with its warmth and power. Lara lifted her hand, and as she did, the light intensified. She aimed it at Thana, and when the beam of pure energy touched the Queen of Darkness's face, Thana let out an ear-piercing shriek. Writhing in agony, Thana’s skin began to crack as dark smoke escaped from the wounds. The light from the ring burned with the intensity of a thousand stars, pushing back the shadows that clung to Thana like a second skin.

As the first light of dawn peeked through, I saw Samuel. He was gone, turned into a ghost. His stubborn spirit had somehow tied me down too, like invisible chains I could not break. I wanted to get away, never to see him again, but I was stuck. He noticed me as well. His face, which had been ashen, suddenly lit up with an incredible glow. He blinked, tears streaming down his face. "Yocelyn!" He was so overwhelmed, moving to grab my hand.

But set against black fur, her eyes don't look like murky green swamp water, they almost glow to a jade. Mak and her team are out surveying The Darkness making sure it hasn't grown. Mak is always worried that she will come back with bad news, but in over 1,300 years The Darkness hasn't grown. Everyone knows about the prophecy, some screaming birds, a tree, fated mates returning, and the return of the royal family. Mak is always talking about some new theory of the prophecies coming true, but it never really concerned me. Everyone is taught the prophecy in primary school:

According to her, silver contained within the wings of Light Fae showed that they were even more powerful than those with only the one color.

So instead, I fight. I gather all the sorcery I can muster within me, and I channel it into my most innate spell—light. It’s not the witchlight that most vampires learn to wield for sight, nor the firelight that they learn to wield for battle, nor even the light of divinity that the priestesses of Nox call upon for guidance, but something unbound, more potent, something akin to purest starlight. It erupts from me, hurting my eyes but, hopefully, if he didn’t close his in time, temporarily blinding Chryseus.

LIGHT'S POV My name is Light, Light Greyjoy, daughter of Liara and Aaron Greyjoy. Although most people say you act as you're named, some say your name determines what you are. However, I was different or maybe they were hypocrites, as in my case, I was the complete opposite of my name, I was darkness, I was terror and I was destruction. I didn't bring joy and happiness like my parent and everyone else expected, rather I was the terror that hunted their night. I was their darkness, I was their pain, their fear, and their tears. I light greyjoy, was the greatest villain of my time.

She felt like a child who had wondered into an R rated movie. "Our employees are all chosen for their exceptional physical traits. All the men are at least six feet tall, all are younger than thirty, and all are-" Here Mrs. Hartley hesitated, making Emma look up. There was a sparkle in her eyes as she held her hands a little over a foot apart. "-well endowed," she finished. "The ladies are also chosen carefully," she continued. "They are all well-toned and have a bra size of at least DD. A dozen ladies are available for fantasy play, as well as more than twenty males."
