I sat down thinking of what plot to make against Freya. "Now we have to find a way to get Freya out of the palace, that should be our first priority," I said to him. But the only way we could do so is to strike once Rex leaves his wife. All I need is to immerse a lot of powers, I want to become the most powerful being amongst the demon clan, so I can have control over many things, be undefeated, and also rule the clan. If I'm able to become this powerful I will kill Freya just at the snap of my fingers. I continued while demonstrating how it'll all be.

I dress in silence, eyes fixed on the small red light blinking from the corner camera. Is she watching me through that thing? The sick witch. Or worse—was my “progress,” as she liked to call it, being recorded and sent to Gratia? I clench my fists, fighting the urge to rip the damn device off the wall and smash it. But I stop myself. Campbell continued to serve me food as she said, "Rachel dear, you must visit often. My door is always open for you." I smiled and nodded, warmth filling my heart. After dinner, Gabriel suggested we take a walk in the nearby park. The winter park was nearly empty, with only a few couples huddled together, enjoying the rare quiet. We strolled along the lake, neither of us speaking. Snowflakes drifted down gently, settling on us like a thin veil. "Thank you, Gabriel." I broke the silence, speaking softly. "For what?" "For taking me in and giving me a warm sanctuary."

My aunt said, dismissing herself from my presence, as I fell into deep thinking about who this cousin of mine was. NICHOLAS “Do you think that what we did to Freya was right?” I asked my brother the moment we entered the car heading to the office for a meeting. For a moment he was silent, and then he suddenly responded. “You said it yourself, brother. Freya is a maid who doesn't deserve to be married to us. She cannot be our Luna,” he responded to me grumpily, like he always would. I frowned. I knew that she wasn't fit, but there should be an exception since she was our mate.

Her head was low; she was silent. Aleric tried to see pain in her expression, but to his surprise, she was calm and relaxed. He could see a slight hint of anger in her face. "Freya" Logan moved from Aleric and approached her. Freya lifted her head and looked at Logan. "What are you doing here?" Logan asked with a frown. "I'm Alpha Aleric's personal assistant. Of course I should be here," she replied with a calm tone. Logan tried to see sorrow in her face. But he couldn't find it.

She wasn't used to someone taking care of her in that way; she had always had to work to get what she wanted. Freya lost her parents at a young age and was an only child, so she ended up with her aunt who didn't have much to survive on. She had to force herself to grow up and be independent, which led to her need for control. She thought that by being in control, nothing would go wrong in her life. But on the other hand, this wasn't always beneficial. Freya missed out on many things because she didn't deviate from her plans. Today, as she reflected, she realized that she might have been happier if she had let things happen without so much planning.

He didn't even smell a hint of a dominant rank on me. "Freya Dalton. I'm here for the executive assistant interview," I said, my voice sounding braver than I felt. The guard tapped his screen, then froze. He blinked, staring at the terminal, before his posture subtly shifted, straightening out. He looked back up at me, a flicker of confusion passing through his eyes. "Elevator bank D. Take the private lift straight to the top penthouse floor."
