Chapter 49: His Life Zaina’s POV In this world, life is like a game of survival. You need to be brave, wise, and strong to survive. The minute we are born we start our journey of that cycle and we will continue down that path until we take our very last breath. However, not all life spans are the same. Some people live to an old age. Others die young. Some die of natural causes, and others die of accidents, murder, or disease. It's the sad truth of being human and death doesn’t discriminate.

He still would not let me in the library though. It was my 22 birthday, and Amara (age 22), Blake (age 26. He had stopped aging 6 years ago.) , and Anthony wanted to take me out to watch a movie. They said it would be worth watching. It was a movie about a man who went to hell to save his wife. They said it was old, but good. The name of the movie was “What Dreams May Come”. It made me cry at the end of it. After the movie we all went our separate ways. Amara had to go to college classes, and Blake had a job as a bodyguard for a client. He wasn’t allowed to tell much about his job. Well he told Anthony, but not me and Amara.

“What’s this?” “This is your whole life right here. The firm you worked so hard to build, the stocks you own, properties, etc. There’s also information about your wife’s pending case and which way it can go. Once the words finally registered, Thiago looked at Cassian in shock. "That's right. I can help extend your life," Cassian confirmed. "You're not pulling my leg, right?" Thiago asked doubtfully. Being able to prolong one's life was something that only occurred in legends and fiction. It was yet unheard of that someone could do that in real life. "I'm not joking. I mean it," Cassian said earnestly. After observing Cassian for a while and realizing that it didn't look like he was kidding, Thiago finally asked, "How long can you extend it for?"

He prayed for her and wished that she would have an amazing life ahead of her. However, it seemed like fate wasn’t on her side and she ended up having a miserable life after she was adopted. Her stepmom and stepbrother used to starve her or leave her alone as she cried for a long time and ended up getting sick but they never took care of her. Luan used to visit her from time to time and was hurt after seeing all that and decided to get the powers to interfere in the human world. He wanted to help her at any cost and it seemed like he finally got the motivation to live on, to finally get better and fight for himself.

Amelia muttered and Shirley scoffed, her gaze on Amelia turning to a glare. "To you, it might be that easy, after all, you are not even a real student but I am and I cannot be reckless or take my studies unseriously," Shirley said. "Yeah I know that story Nation's Fairy slash Supermodel slash Heiress of C-Perfect Fashion Label, don't you have just the perfect life?" Amelia taunted. "And what is that even supposed to mean?" Shirley asked. "Trust me, if you lose control and you will if you don't master control of your wolf side, the perfect life you have worked so hard to build will come crumbling down to dust," Amelia blurted out.

The wind blew gently caressing our face with the warmth of the late afternoon breeze, a familiar fragrance enters my nostrils it’s been six years since then I haven't heard anything from her but her billion dollar company remains the same and became even more powerful Lu took over it that's what I know after I flew back home to make my dreams come true. "Don't worry, my gramps told me that when two people did not end up together in this timeline, another life will be granted for them," She gave me her toothy grin.
