Emma stood frozen in the middle of her living room. Her phone slowly slipped from her trembling fingers and landed on the couch. The call had ended. But the stranger's words continued to echo inside her head. Daniel Hart isn't your husband. Impossible. Absolutely impossible. For seven years, she had lived with Daniel. Shared a home with him. Shared holidays, birthdays, arguments, laughter, and dreams. She had married him. Hadn't she? Emma suddenly wasn't sure anymore. Her breathing became uneven.

Phuture shrieked out an excited scream and jumped on Terrance, holding him tightly as he held her up. She didn't think the opportunity of having her family again would happen, but she was overly thrilled to find her husband just hours after waking up.

I heard his wife is back so I have to try my hardest not to think that I fucked her husband for one night. I marched my way to my own office and started doing the things that I've left on my desk but even though I try to get myself busy, I can't find words to put into my writing because I'm still bothered about reality and what I chose in life for my future. She literally was surprised as she knew about the marriage but she never expected it to be the next day.

“Michael is having an affair.” Adrian’s entire expression darkened instantly. “What?” He sat upright sharply. “That bastard.” Anger flashed across his face. “How dare he?” I nodded slowly. “But wait…” His brows furrowed in confusion. “Wouldn’t that actually make things easier for you?” He looked genuinely puzzled now. “Isn’t that the perfect reason to end this whole marriage?” A bitter laugh escaped me. “I would have ended it immediately too,” I admitted. “But then I found out about the stupid marriage contract nobody bothered telling me about.”
