Haley grabbed a drifting contract fragment. It sliced her palm. She hissed, then wrote in blood across a closed gate: AUTHORIZED FAMILY NONSENSE ACCESS. The gate flickered. The Prime Analyst snapped its attention toward her. Invalid credential. Haley slapped another fragment onto it. AUTHORIZED BY ABSOLUTELY NOT AUXILIARY STERLING. The gate flickered harder.

In a weak voice, I explained the situation I was facing over the phone. “Hi, this is Ariane. I wanted to let you know that I have given birth. So, I will be taking leave to focus on taking care of my babies,” I said with gratitude and hope. “Congratulations, Ariane! How are you and the babies?” asked the owner, his voice warm and caring. “Thank you so much! We are fine, but I am still feeling a little tired,” I replied with a smile, even though the phone couldn’t see my facial expression. “I will be sure to let you know when I am ready to return to work.”
