The Alpha's Scorned Mate
It wasn’t as good as the fish and chips my private chef had made back at the palace, but it was good enough that I ate it all.
I sat back and sort of took in the ambiance of the place. It was loud, with lots of people, but it had a sort of charm about it. There was a little dance floor where people were gathered, dancing like humans. I watched, bemused, as they awkwardly moved their bodies.
Suddenly, they all started lining up and making the same movements. “What’s that?” I asked.
“Oh, it’s a line dance! The Electric Slide. Come on!”
“Hell no,” I said. There was no way I was joining humans to do some sort of choreographed dance.
