Alright, so I've seen a bunch of theories floating around about this, and honestly, I think people are overcomplicating it. The core mechanic in the novel isn't some mystical ley line convergence or a magic system reboot—it's the System itself, plain and simple. When the apocalypse hits, it's like a game patch gets applied to reality, and mana is just one of the new resources it introduces. It's infinite in the same way a video game's source code can generate infinite virtual gold if the devs allow it; the System allocates it as part of its ruleset to facilitate the 'leveling' and conflict it wants.

I remember a throwaway line from a side character in like, chapter 240-ish, where they mention the System siphoning energy from dying dimensions or something to fuel the mana flow. It's not a focus, more of a background lore justification. The real story point is the scarcity shift: from fighting over food and gas to fighting over control of the System's interface points, the 'Dungeon Cores' or whatever they're called. The infinite mana is the bait that keeps everyone playing its game.

I read this one last month and gotta say, the infinite mana system felt like the author painted themselves into a corner. The main character basically becomes a god by chapter 30, which kinda kills the tension. It's fun for a bit, watching them spam world-ending spells on zombies, but then what?
