Liv was surprised at how disappointed she had been to not hear back from Asta about getting her hair braided before she had to return to the forest to work, though, in all honesty, there hadn't been that much time. She had to leave the next morning. She didn't often think that much about her appearance, but something about the intricate braiding had called to her. "Oh, well, ponytails have worked up to this point," she murmured to herself, as she finished packing her Jeep for the hour-long trip to her campsite for the next several weeks. "They'll just have to continue doing the job."

My question hangs in the air, unanswered, as Cathy leads me to the vanity. Here, she transforms me further. My hair is styled into an elaborate, loose braid that drapes over my shoulder like a silken rope. Cathy intersperses the braid with tiny, crystalline pins that glint like the first rays of dawn breaking over a snowy horizon. Each crystal feels imbued with intent as if they are tiny fragments of a larger, unsolved riddle.

They worked in silence, the only sound the gentle rustling of hair against fabric and the occasional splash of water. Once her hair was thoroughly detangled, the maids began the delicate process of fixing it. They wove the strands together, creating an intricate ombre effect that blended seamlessly from dark ebony at the roots to a soft, silvery white at the tips. The final touch was a loose braid that hung down her back, its ends tied with a simple ribbon. The effect was stunning—her hair seemed to shimmer with its own inner light, complementing her pale skin and accentuating the sharp angles of her face.

Azra called. Immediately, a strange silver coated bracelets flew to Jared's direction out of no where. Appeared a pale skin lady, having a hooded glowing blue eyes with a inside-out black braided hairstyle, dressed in tights clothing, possessing two sheathed daggers behind her back appeared, sat on Jared's shoulders. Now he knows the bracelets were not moving on it's own but was held by the lady with the ability to camouflage into her environment which she immediately, placed it on Jared’s wrists then Azra removed his hand with his dreadlocks from Jared's. Jared looked at the bracelets as he stepped back, slightly shaken by the sight of the bracelets.

He was dreaded in black denim trousers and a black shirt. "A lot," he smiled and said politely. I wanted to as of the details of his training but Isabella appeared up the stairs, making me want to cry for Jade. When she descended the stairs, I knew Jade was in trouble. Blood was going to be shed tonight because no man would want to peel their eyes off of her. Her dress was almost like Blevine's except her there was more exposure to her back. She wore a blonde curly wig and blue eye contacts. I instantly understood. The club was open to all packs and Jade wouldn't want her exposed. Her white hair especially, will attract a lot of attention therefore, she would blend in this way.

In the mirror, Jade straightened the collar of the tailored polo shirt and then pulled her hair back into a high ponytail, trying to comb out the bumps with her fingertips. Her lipstick had long faded, strengthening the appearance of her natural complexion. The snug uniform emphasized the years she'd dedicated to fitness, accentuating her curves and giving a broader view of her toned frame.

Thank God there were no traffic cops in Bridger National Forest at least! As I walked into Valley Market, cart at the ready, I noticed a striking young woman in the produce section. She had long blonde hair sporting the most intricate braids I had ever seen, as well as silver and leather jewelry surrounding her neck and both wrists. A beautiful, swirling black tattoo ringed one lean, toned bicep. She looked like some modern-day Viking shield maiden.

" Alpha Ryan put my hair into one massive braid, giving it all his full concentration, it made me want to burst into laughter. He was treating my hair like it was one of the pack issues that needed solving. "Where did you learn to braid like that?" I wondered. We didn't really ask each other questions that were entirely personal and I thought this was a great start. "When we were younger, Jenna used to cry about wanting her hair braided but since we had no mom and to make her happy, I asked some high ranks to teach me and I'd do it for her every night before she went to bed." He looked so sad saying out, I felt like an idiot for asking. At this point, it was best to stop digging up old news.

it felt like a lot of classy women from America and Japan with similar styles had gathered. The way these customers held themselves and politely smiled at me when I entered. I felt as a man I had trespassed onto holy grounds. "I-Is Amara... here?" I asked. "She stepped out for a bit. She should return soon... would you like me to text her?" She was in the middle of curling a woman's hair so I held up my hands to say "no" when the door behind me opened. Amara entered in with a mixed girl, she had long braided brown hair and hazel eyes... ah, I think these sort of braids were called box braids, weren't they? Amara wears them during winter.

The dress was decorated with white beads across the top and waistline, accenting her curves and making her skin appear tanned. Pairing the outfit with a pair of white sandals and a simple set of diamond stud earrings, she was almost ready. She ran her hairbrush through her long black hair, settling it so it cascaded down her back in waves, finishing the look once she dusted light neutral eyeshadow and mascara across her eyes. Jadie pushed down the butterflies that erupted in her stomach as she made her way down the stairs. The rubber soles of her shoes slapped against the wooden stairs while she searched for a familiar face within the crowd of pack members that had already arrived.
