“We have to stay strong for Lorenzo.” Jared watched his parents with a heavy heart, guilt gnawing at his conscience. If only he had realized sooner that something was wrong with the lemonade, maybe he could have prevented this nightmare from happening. But as he recalled the pained face his brother made just before he collapsed, Jared knew that there was no time for regret. He had to be strong for Lorenzo now, just like his parents were trying to be. Together, they would face whatever challenges lay ahead, and they would do whatever it took to ensure that justice was served for Lorenzo and that he received the care and support he needed to recover.

Still, he didn’t stop. “Whoa, man.” A voice cut through the echo. Jared. His assistant, yes, but more than that his friend, his brother. One of the few constants from St Matthew's, the orphanage where they’d grown up learning how to fight for scraps. Jared was perched on a bench in sweats, a towel slung around his neck, watching like someone half-worried, half-used to this ritual. “You’re beating the shit out of that bag, Liam,” Jared muttered, standing. “What’d it ever do to you?”

He answered with a smile. "We need to clean you up." Ciara said, gesturing to both Damien and Leo's injured bodies. They nodded their heads and Ciara went to get the first aid box. ** Hours later, they all sat down, talking about how their lives have been. "I will love to meet Leticia." His father said. Leo looked at him and sighed. "I doubt if she knows what we are." He said. "She did not shift?" Derrick questioned. "No, she did not. At least I would have known." Leo replied.

Jackson replied. I took a deep breath, "Oh I know, I wasn't expecting them to go that hard so soon." I said. "Well, you know Ambrosia. She never slows down for too long. She is just trying to bring out the best side of Leia that she possibly can." Jackson replied. "I know she is but I hope they know they can't just beat the crap out of each other." I said, making Jackson laugh. "Yeah I think they learned their lesson. I have to run though, I'll see you at the meeting." Jackson replied before the line went dead. Alright so she was at home, I checked the time and I had enough to get over there and visit for a moment before I had to do everything else. "Want to stretch your legs a little bit?"

Jaden glared at him. “Who the hell are you? She’s mine!” Leo didn’t even blink. “Not anymore." he said too quickly, and I nodded. Jaden turned back to me, his face red in frustration. “You’d pick this old stranger over me? I’m Beta’s son, for crying out loud, and we have been together for months. Stop acting like we aren't the perfect match!"

Jared's not even our family. We have no reason to ask him to work for us. Besides, Jared's different from Stuart. He is extremely faithful to Jepherson. He would take a bullet for Jepherson without hesitating. But for others, it might not be the case. I sent my face to the side window watching the roads as Vogar drove. Never believed I would someday get myself entangled with the black sheep of the family. The one everybody feared and hated because of the dumb shits he always pulled off. But then, he was the only one I could trust to show me the best way of winning Leo over. He knew the best way to get to Leo because they were brothers. But something I still tried to crack my head on, was Leo’s reason for hating his brother so much.

He extended his hand out to Brax. “Brax Lawson, I am Logan Carter. It is nice to meet you.” Brax blinked at him a few times unsure how to react. He extended his hand in return to Logan and shook it. “Logan, may I ask why you have travelled all the way here?” His tone was more normal than I anticipated which confused me after how tense he was with me. “I have come to win Leah’s affections back.” His voice was clear and concise but filled with emotion. “I guess we have an issue there then, don’t we?” Brax’s tone was filled with protection.
