The lights go out. Fuck!

The door opened slowly with a slight creak and light flooded into the room, pooling on the floorboards. I hadn't realized but the room was very dark owing to the fact that I hadn't bothered turning on the lights at all. Justin stood at the doorway, a questioning look on his face, as if wondering why the room was so dark. "Why is it so dark?" he voiced. "It's brighter than your future," I joked weakly, and he gave me a look. He flicked the light switch on swiftly with a finger, and the room combusted. I raised a hand and put it in front of my face, trying to block the light.

I was immediately engulfed in darkness when I followed them inside. It's as if it's drowning me all over again. I should've just stayed outside. Liam calmed me down a little by opening a lampshade on the side of his bed. I'm fine as long as there's light... I hope... "Can't you turn on all the lights, Liam? It's so gloomy in here." Where is Maddison? Perhaps she was just nearby and can only be seen once his mother switched on the light. Liam's canary yellow light on the side of his bed is the only source of light.

'Just a year more' she recited in her head as she comforted herself. As dusk arrived she headed out of her office, tracing her track back home. The city slowly started to grow lively with the light and noise of the night life. She took the stairs to head upstairs. As she opened the door, the darkness that engulfed the room was sparked up with the flip of the switch. The dim light helped dissipate the utter darkness.

She called for the guards and brought them to the infirmary. Along her was the bystander from before who heard Lucas shouting at the hallways, named Light, that was also a handpicked member just like Pea Hardshell. He sat beside her and was watching how Lucas and Moon breathed while laying on their beds. Light was a slim man of average height. He wore a plain, brown vest adorned with a dark pattern of countless minuscule diamonds over his shirt, which was black in color, and switched to a pair of light brown pants, held up by a bright brown belt with a simple metal buckle, with each leg being seemingly adorned by a line of studs. He shared the ages of the Martin cousins.

Triton interrupted. My phone rung so Triton let go of my hand; it was Kuya Zhed. @GreatLeader: Sid, I suggest you just join the next competition because you’re always late. Enjoy! I was curious why he told me to enjoy, what does that mean? I returned my phone into my pocket and got shocked when Triton held me by my arm, but Grant also did the same on my other arm.
