I sniffled again, staring at my hand as I felt a liquid drop on it. I didn't realize I was crying. I laughed, hiccuping. “I'm not crying. I'm just trying to get rid of something in my eyes.” I began to rub my eyes.
Kael sighed, leaning back on the wall. “It's okay to express your emotions. But not for my situation, it can't be helped.”
“It can be!” I shouted, unable to hold back the tears any longer. They rolled down my cheeks, my heart squeezing tight in pain. My shoulders shook, and I hiccuped twice as I sobbed.
