Everything blurred. Everything passed. Until— Lunch. That was when I finally moved with intention. The library. Quiet. Still. Safe— Or at least quieter than everything else. I slipped into one of the back tables. The kind no one paid attention to. The kind that felt hidden without actually being hidden. My bag slid onto the table. My fingers unzipped it slowly. Carefully. Like I was opening something fragile. Or dangerous. The diary came out. Dark. Still. Waiting.

“Well, look at that. Our little rat goes to our school.” I flipped through a spiral notebook. The handwriting was tiny, meticulous and loopy.. definitely a girl. I dug deeper into the bag, my fingers brushing against something soft and pulled it out. It was a small notebook bound in worn faux leather but it didn’t look like a textbook. “What is that?” Jasper asked, finally pulling his gaze away from the window. “I think,” I said, tapping the cover playfully, “we just found a diary.” Silas paused with his glass halfway to his mouth. “Read it.”

The book he, her old bestie had bought for her. It was a simple gift for her 14th birthday, 10 years ago. It was the last birthday he had spent with her. Or rather, the last day. He left her a small note that she noticed a few hours after his family had left. They were celebrating her birthday with her family as they were like one family. Carmen never used to like diary books and thought that they were stupid, reminding you of the reality you want to escape from.

I calmed myself and went to sleep even it was still daytime. I write on my diary. I started my diary since the time Hero started making moves on me because I have no one to tell my feelings about him. I can't tell my problems and worries about him to my father, so I bought a thick notebook and a small box that I can securely keep it. In my diary I write everything about him, my feelings, hatred, anger, happiness, worries, and funny things we did. It made me smile so crazily when I wrote about our sex escapades, his insatiable sex drive on me, how I love him, his weird allergy to women.

MAYALINA May 14th 2018 I pick up the large sack of rubbish from the bar, fling it over my shoulder and wobble my weak butt to the back entrance where the large skip bins are. I walk through the halls and look into the rooms as I pass them by. All the doors are open except the room that used to be mine. Things have been really slow on our side of the wing lately. It's like we've all dispersed for our own painful reasons.

I want to spend my weekend in peace. When I reached my place, everything seemed to be normal. I arrived home without getting anything in the mail. I had my dinner, and everything went smooth. I decided to leave an entry today in my diary. I usually put it in the drawer in my bedside drawer. I am sure I put the diary in here since I always put it here. But I can't find it anywhere. At first, I just thought I misplaced it, but I have been looking for it for an hour now. Where's my diary?

It looked like a primary student being punished for making a spelling mistake after being discovered by the teacher. Hilda looked further down the notebook attentively. The person who wrote the diary had limited education. There were many misspelled words, and the grammar was all over the place. There were only a couple lines of diary entries everyday. On the second day, it was written in the notebook.. 'Adrian took some photografs of me today. I'm so happy.' The handwriting was still wriggly, as if a primary student had written it. Hilda guessed that the writer meant to write 'photographs' instead. Sure enough, the powerful handwriting appeared and drew a large cross on the word, 'photograf

My head painfully shake. Am really sorry" I inwardly shutter. I hastily turn around. I superspeed out of the hall to the cottages parking lot. I abandoned Douglas lips agape and confused. Am certain he's stuck within an inquisitive delima. An inquisitive delima over my unexpected scurry. It's pretty weird, suspicious and hilarious. I felt like a kangaroo chased by a starving blood thirsty lion. What's actually more hilarious is my abandoned book. I abandoned my book on my desk.

She then ignored the text and moved to the second page accepting that fine i am a douchebag . Second page had another small nore ," Hey dear diary , you know what I am really lazy but i still wanted to wrie down some important things and moments i wanna remeber so i am not gonna talk to you daily . I will talk to you only when i have beans to spill . Otherwise my life is boring you won't be interested at all ,Don't mind . Cynthia smiled reading the note she suspected whoever this Natasha is she is really kinda funny .

Sweat gathered at my temples and Cobwebs clung to my sleeves. The air smelled of cardboard and time. I pushed aside old picture frames, college notebooks, and broken electronics. “Where is it?” I whispered to myself. Box after box, I searched. My fingers were sore and my back ached but then I found it. A navy-blue leather cover…Worn at the corners. The pages sticking out a little from the sides. My diary. I sat on the cold floor, back against the wall, and opened the first page. It was mostly silly things at first.
