But among all of them, I am the monster they all fear." My stomach churns as my fear grows. He's unfolding another layer of himself, and I'm not sure if I'm ready for it. "W-what do you mean?" "I'm a tribrid. Three creatures exist inside of me. But at the same time, they're unified. I am a werewolf, a vampire, and a—"

“I didn’t know.” “Know that you brought a bigoted murderess to our door?” Magnus spat at her. “I didn’t know.” She said softly and hung her head. “I think we are done with witch mentoring.” He took off his clothes and burst into his wolf. The giant black wolf with a white stripe on his chest bounded towards me, yipping. He sailed over me at the last moment, turning in play. My wolf engaged and began to run towards the back of the property. A run was exactly what I needed. The wicked witch was dead by her own dark magic. Dark magic that tried to kill me. The monsters that hide in plain sight are the scariest.

Moon said. "Moon, you realize my Wolf is a dark wolf, or Nightmare wolf, right? I can barely control him as it is, you want me to just talk with him, bond with him, and hope he reveals his name, making it easy on me? My Wolf is just as pissed off at me as every other wolf that has a human now. Just because my Wolf and I work together from time to time doesn't mean it's going to work out this time." Rex snorted.

Its face, gods, its face looked like a skull half-covered in flesh, the mouth jagged with broken fangs. A wendigo. A curse of the old wolves. A monster born when an alpha went insane and dared to devour his own kind. “Run, Amon.” Amon neighed loudly at my command as he ran off into the forest, leaving me alone. I drew my sword, staring directly at the grotesque creature. The monster let out an ear-piercing screech as it bolted toward me. It raised its bloody claw, prepared to strike, but just then, steel met claw with a streak of sparks.

He paused, his eyes scanning my face for any sign of understanding. “I couldn't help but laugh, I guess either I'm hearing things or I'm not the only crazy one in the room.” Zayn stepped closer, his movements deliberate and careful, as if I might bolt at any moment. “You’re a wolf,” he said, his voice steady. “You always have been. You just didn’t know it yet.” I burst out in laughter once again, sharp and bitter, verging on hysteria. “You’re insane. This is insane.”

Until this moment, I had thought they were just bedtime stories told to scare disobedient children. And today, I feel like the most disobedient child to ever live because I wasn't only hearing about the story but witnessing it firsthand. I froze on the spot. A massive brown wolf, twice the size of any I had ever seen, crouched beside a lifeless body. His eyes glowed a blinding red, the color of blood and fire, as he surveyed his kill with grim satisfaction. My heart slammed against my ribs as I realized this was no ordinary wolf. This was the monster from the North—the creature that had haunted the nightmares of so many.

A huge black wolf with large teeth, growling at me with hunger. Fear engulfed me at the sight of this monster! I have never seen such height nor a black wolf before. And most especially, its eyes. They are... Green?

The pack members scattered, their faces etched with fear, their eyes wide with horror. In the center of the clearing, a monstrous figure loomed, its dark form shifting and growing. Moonlight cast an eerie glow on the creature, revealing its thick black fur, its piercing yellow eyes, and its gnashing teeth. It was Draven, mid-transformation, his human form battling the wolf within.
