His eyes still gazed sorrowfully at Emily. "Emily! Emily!" Derek pounded on the car window. Emily's hands and feet were cold as she pushed the car door open and dove into Derek's arms. "Derek, I killed him... I killed him..." "Emily, it's okay. It won't happen again," Derek reassured, holding her and whispering soothingly. Emily gradually calmed down and witnessed the bodyguard carrying Gimson out of the car, covered in blood. The demon that had disrupted her life was finally gone, without a sound.

Eric's POV The gunshot took us by surprise. We all stared around, but no one suspicious was around. The officoals ran here and there, trying to figure out what had just happened, but we were all confused. I stared at Max's lifeless body. I couldn't believe that he was dead. How unfortunate. "Max?" Emily screamed as she stared at the lifeless body of the only man who knew where Mia was. I stared at the window and saw a red dot on Emily's back, and suddenly it hit me.

To Emily, only with Scarlet’s death came the promise of peace and vindication, a beautiful end that she believed would finally free her from the suffocating weight of her sister’s existence. But as she watched the video, a drop of blood splattered onto the screen of her phone, and a sudden jolt of pain broke through her manic reverie. Emily’s gaze dropped to her hand, her eyes widening in shock as she saw the raw, bloody spot where her fingers had dug into her flesh with unrelenting force, driven by an urge to see Scarlet’s demise come to fruition.

‎ ‎The control room tensed. ‎Victor strode toward the nearest monitor. ‎ ‎Camera feeds displayed movement along the estate’s outer wall. ‎ ‎A small surveillance drone hovered near the trees. ‎ ‎Watching. ‎ ‎Scanning. ‎ ‎Emily. ‎ ‎They were looking for Emily. ‎ ‎Victor’s jaw tightened. ‎ ‎“Take it down.” ‎ ‎Within seconds, one of his men disabled the drone. ‎ ‎But the message had already been sent. ‎ ‎They were closing in.

It wasn't there. Emily squared her shoulders. She knew exactly who had taken them. She marched toward the double doors of the suite. Brought in days ago unconscious or not, she’d find her way out. She wasn’t going to sit around like a prisoner waiting for an execution. She was going to find Damien Reines, demand her belongings, and get the hell out of this cage. She yanked the doors open, stepping out into the sunlit hallway of Elysian Heights. She didn't even make it five steps toward the private elevator before a massive shadow fell over her.

Emily said as she walked past Freddy and Stefan, who looked resigned. "Wait, Emily!" Zack said, trying to stop her from leaving his room. Emily paused for a moment, trying to ignore Zack's pleading voice asking her not to go. However, with strong determination, she continued on her way, unwilling to pay attention to anything else. As she approached the door handle, ready to open it and leave the room, suddenly Zack and Marko moved in unison. With quick and coordinated movements, they lifted Emily's body from behind, bringing her back onto Zack's bed. This sudden action shocked Emily, and in an instant, her body felt frozen, unable to move or react.

They started moving again. "You said she looks familiar?" They were talking in quieter tones now, they probably didn't want their boss to hear them. "Yes, you won't believe it. It's crazy," the third voice said. "Who is she?" "I'm not sure, but she looks so much like Hope," the voice said. I was shocked that he recognized me, I wouldn't recognize myself if I stared in the mirror. "Hope? As in the Hope Embers that died in the assassination with her father?" He and the others laughed.

Ayesha’s instincts screamed trap. And she was right. Halfway down the first corridor— The walls hissed open. Armed drones activated, targeting them instantly. “DOWN!” Adrian yelled, shoving Ayesha aside as the drones opened fire. The air filled with the whir of mechanical wings and the sharp crack of bullets. Leena rolled into cover, firing two precise shots. The first drone exploded, crashing to the ground in a tangle of sparks. But there were dozens more. Zayn cursed, pulling a small EMP grenade from his vest.

Emily continued, her tone shifting, “why did Sylvia almost die? That kind of noise brings attention.” I sighed. “That wasn’t the intention.” “Then what was?” “To scare her,” I said simply. “To break her confidence. To make her retreat.” Emily narrowed her eyes. “And the men?” “They went too far.” Her voice dropped. “And what did you do about it?” I looked her straight in the eyes. “I killed them.” Her breath hitched. “You… killed them?” “Yes.” “When?” she asked. “Within twenty-four hours.” Emily stared at me, stunned.
