"Hi," Mona replied, sliding her card forward. "I need to make a transfer."
"Of course."
The process felt too slow.
Numbers.
Confirmations.
A quiet beep as the transaction went through.
Her stomach dropped slightly at the amount leaving her account.
But she didn't hesitate.
"Done," the teller said.
"Thank you."
Mona stepped away, exhaling slowly as she tucked her card back into her bag.
