"Oh, Anata, you look stunning, and what nice shoes" I close the door, turning to see Mrs Light, or as I call her sometimes, Okaasan, arranging the on the coffee table as I pass her a smile, staring at my mud stained sneakers "Okaasan" Mrs Hinata Light is a chubby woman with dark hair and soft brown eyes that smells like the kitchen and a person I greatly adore. Perhaps it is because I am glad she doesn't bare even the slightest resemblance to Doctor and my heart doesn't go pitter patter around her but she makes the best cupcakes I've ever eaten and she's sweet to me "Did you go on a date?"

She slowly stood up and stared at her artwork, a fiery blaze burning in her eyes. "Natalie." Startled, Natalie spun around, and only then did she notice Susan. Seeing her alarmed, Susan hurriedly said, "Did I scare you?" "No, I was just too focused," Natalie replied. A warm smile broke out across Susan's face. "You must be tired. I cut up some fruit and baked some cupcakes. Have a taste and see if you like them." Natalie glanced at the small table. On it sat a plate of sliced fruit, as well as some cranberry-topped cupcakes.

I’d sit at the window chatting to Caleb on my mobile so he could still see me, but he would never come close. Cupcake girl, yep that’s right. Cupcake girl takes my hand and gently pulls me up. “What’s your favourite drink?” “Erm…I’m ok thank you.” I didn’t want to seem rude but ordering a hot drink is low on my list of priorities right now. “You can’t hide without a drink!” She tuts at me. Oh, was she expecting me to pay to hide? “I’ll have a hot chocolate please?” “And cake…” She added. These cupcake lycans sure knew how to manipulate a situation. I look at the cake shelf only to see a coffee and walnut looking cake with the name I’ll be lycan-ing that. I scowl and turn to lycan cupcake on

It was a half hour later when Chan stared with disbelief at the cupcake that looked very much like a cup of hot chocolate in front of her. It was beautifully made with white fondant as the cup and handle and the chocolate meringue as the hot chocolate. On top of this sat a pretty little candle. “What is it for?” she asked, pointing chopsticks at it. “It’s your birthday cake,” replied Dara proudly. “Since you made it quite clear you don’t want a party or fancy birthday cake with the number twenty-five on top of it, Soriya and I made an executive decision we’d just go with the cupcake.”

Letting her go was supposed to be right, but now I wasn’t sure. A few days later, we visited a bakery to taste cakes. The shop smelled like sugar and vanilla, with samples lined up on a counter. Natasha tried a lemon cake and grinned. “This is it,” she said, holding out a forkful. “Try it, Stefan.” I took a bite, nodding. “It’s good. Let’s go with that.” She laughed, smearing a bit of frosting on her finger and joking about saving it for the wedding. Her excitement pulled me in, and I smiled, caught up in the moment. “You’re really into this,” I said.

“Since we will be having tea together, I thought of baking some cupcakes.” “None of us eat sugar here,” Maria interrupted with a stern face. It was evident that, regardless of how I presented myself, she was focused on damaging my reputation. I wouldn’t let that happen. I smiled. “Of course, I know that. That’s why there’s no sugar in these cupcakes. The blueberry flavor adds a little sweet taste to it, that’s all.” “It smells good. I don’t think a little sugar will make me fat,” Calista pointed at her figure, and the others laughed.

Brie argued. Vivian held up a spoon. “I literally had to scrape icing off the wall. That should count as two extra trays.” “Ten it is,” I said with a tired laugh. It felt good—this messy, stupid chaos. The kind that didn’t hurt. The kind that made you forget everything else for a while. Luna had finally given up and curled beneath the table like a defeated war general. A cupcake sat balanced between her paws, untouched. “I don’t want to eat any of them,” Brie said, looking over the spread. “They’re too pretty. I feel like I’d be destroying art.”

I got it! I raise my eyebrows at her, “I have dozens of Giant Caplico from Japan.” “Woohoo, I smell Caplico.” her eyes brightened up, “Which flavor?” With my fingers, I count, “Chocolate. Milk. Strawberry.” She slaps on Justin’s table and proclaims, “One dozen each, and the deal is sealed.” I grin, “Deal.” Hoh. Positive and palpably, I did not see this coming. Dealing with Nikki is way easier than I thought. So, she’s a food junkie, huh?

They began to crumble beneath him. My mate is so strong. "A cupcake," I quipped until I leaned in closer to tell him a secret. "A danger cupcake," I giggled. Danger cupcakes were special. Sometimes they had cinnamon or topped with peppermint, giving them a little kick in the patootie in your mouth.
