“These are the fucking ugliest cupcakes I’ve ever seen.” “What can I say? Baking isn’t my stronghold,” came Nathaniel’s voice from the door. “Add decorating to that,” Ishmael said before taking a huge bite out of a cupcake. Nikki huffed, glaring down at Ishmael. “Fucking unreal. You turned down the soup I offered to take my precious time heating up for you, but you’re eating cupcakes?” Ishmael rolled his eyes. “I don’t know what gave you the impression that I’m some sick baby who needs to be taken care of, but I’ll have you know I’m one hundred percent fine. I just don't have my powers.”

“We’re not done with the interviews yet.” I glare at her. “It’s my period. It’s horrible.” “Let’s get you something to eat before you faint,” she suggests and begins to drag me to the food counter. “Oh, there are cupcakes!” A wave of nausea washes over me. I wave my hand, bringing the other to cover my mouth. “No, not cupcakes.” Confusion crosses her face, which is not surprising. “I’ve never heard you say no to cupcakes.” Then out of nowhere, her eyes widen, and she grabs my arm pulling me aside. Judy was late, Nathania had entered the shop and joined the queue to buy some sweet cakes. Nathania is very enthusiastic, it turns out that in here, the aroma is sweeter and delicious.
