The room was dark as if it were in the night and had a strong smell of alcohol. I switched on the lights and saw Elena sitting on the carpet with several beer cans around her, most of them looking empty. I approached her and called out, “Elena, what is the meaning of this?” She flinched at the sound of my voice and tried to stand up but fell on the floor drunkenly, and then she crawled to my feet, holding my legs.
