But, Ross…” His voice softened, grave. “You play this game wrong, you won’t just lose Harris. You’ll lose everything.”

Today, I needed to finish some commissioned paintings and prepare for a small exhibition next week. Marilyn, my ever-charming best friend, often stopped by. She’d remarried—her third marriage. "Oh, Marilyn," I’d mutter whenever she shared stories about her new life, but I was happy to see her thriving. While tidying up some canvases, the gallery doorbell chimed. I turned to see a man standing there. Tall, handsome, and exuding an elegance that was hard to ignore. "Good afternoon," he greeted in a deep, smooth voice. "You’re Jonea, right? I’m Randall."

’ He sent over mindlink. ‘Stop flirting with me in public. We still have a problem.’ I told him, playfully glaring at him. ‘Nah, I don’t think so. Randall has never had any bad records except for what he did to you, which was an order from his Alpha.’ ‘What do you mean? How did you know?’

Then he narrowed his eyes looking at Oshoshi and the small boy, he twisted the rings on his finger, “Were you the one they struck the bell for, I kind of heard it on my way back to the Kingdom,” “Outside the kingdom, Is he that fast?!” the small boy subconsciously said it out for everyone in the court yard to hear, almost regretting, his eyes widened then lowered his head. Randall smiled, “Actually I came here as fast I could to see my Daughter and Bet— And who are you?” he said, stroking his newly growth beards thinking everyone will noticed his beards on his chin. Oshoshi gathered some courage as he tends to look at Randall.

But, you know, that’s the way it is with lawyers in this town.” “But these…” Cyn waved the papers in the air in front of me. “These are” “I know. I found out about this a year ago.” It was a new client. His name was Randall Thomas, and he owned a technology company with offices in New York, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. It was a huge contract that would push my fledgling company into a company with a solid future. Randy had friends in high places, friends who told him things. And he shared a few of those things with me over lunch one afternoon.

I could help but rebut and look at him suspiciously. Seeing him looking at me unimpressed of my cheekiness, I just laugh at his face. “His a friend of a friend that I just recently met,why do you ask?” I now considered Nero as a friend, whether he like it or not. “Really?” “Yeah, why do you ask?” I inquire. Randall stared at me for a moment before he answered, “Just be careful.” Okay… it was a weird advice but I did take it to heart, words and advice from someone who was hailed as a grim reaper of the business world and sitting at the pinnacle of the society should not be light and nonsense.

As soon as I am next to her, she steps aside and growls, “Randall says to be on your best behaviour or you know what will happen.” I nod and walk with her down the hall, down the stairs and out the back. I place a small smile on my face and make my way over to the stage where Randall is already standing and making one of his many speeches for the night. However, as soon as he sees us, he stops talking and just stares. I glance over at Charmine and see the big smile spread over her face at his reaction.

Randall and Leo strolled in, both looking far too pleased. “Well, well, well,” Randall said with a smirk, his tailored suit straining slightly at his broad shoulders as he leaned casually on Leo’s shoulder. His slicked-back hair and the glint of the gold watch on his wrist gave him the air of someone who thought power was his birthright. “If it isn’t the star of the fashion world. Heard you were having some supply issues. I could speak to my father and see if he could pull some strings down at the docks… for a price. An outfit named after me, perhaps.”

He’s a damn, walking elephant compared to me, and how the fuck does he even exist? Malek growled at the clear contempt in his eyes. Oh he is out for my blood, I can feel it. I looked at Valerie in disbelief and shock, but her face was dead serious as she speaks. “Randy, or Randall, is our papa bear. On your first day, you might want to learn from him a thing or two about attacking, and I know that is not your strongest suit, so he’s perfect.” she said and smiles, mischief dancing in her eyes as she pats ‘papa bear’ on the back.
