She clicked on Daniel's message. Dan: Hi Ashley! I was quite busy yesterday so I couldn't call you back and I guess you were busy as well since you didn't call back. Well, how do you find your new school? Cool? Nice? Do you have friends? She quickly replied his message. Ashley: Yeah, you can say I was kinda busy. My new school sucks and I'm so upset. I hate everything here. Swears, I miss you and Phoebe a lot. Friends? I have one though.... Annabelle, she's okay.... She's the only sane person in my class.

The crack blazed brighter than ever. For a long moment no one moved. The clearing was silent except for the hiss of the crack in the marker and the distant retreat of paws through underbrush. Mist drifted back in to fill the space where the pack had stood. Ava pulled herself upright against the stone. Her hands trembled. The silver glow had withdrawn into the token but left a faint shimmer under her skin, like moonlight trapped in her veins. She could still hear the echo of the whisper, softer now but insistent: Daughter of ash…

"So just die peacefully. Once you've turned to ash, I'll be Damien's one and only love." Then, I removed the SIM card from my phone and severed all contact through our blood vow. Cassian replied him and then moved his eyes to look at Maximus who stared at Julianne like he wanted something from her. “Who is she?” Maximus asked and Julianne looked at him. Not they? She thought and looked behind her to be sure if Marianne was still with her. She moved her eyes back to Cassian and heard him say; “Ash. She’s a newbie.” “It’s Julianne,” she made herself clear and got a grin from Cassian. “Or could be Jules,” the other one said. Funny! Julianne rolled her eyes at the back of her mind. Marianne tugged at Julianne’s cloth again and Julianne asked Cassian, “Where is it?”

His suit fits like it was made especially for him. “Good evening,” he says, voice smooth as well aged whisky. “New faces. That’s rather unusual around here.” Ash doesn’t flinch. He offers that slow, lethal smile and replies, “New to this crowd, not to the lifestyle. We’re visiting from Raventon.” Ash’s old stomping ground, the city where he once played at being someone else for a living. Of course he’d pick a place he knows like the back of his hand. It’s the perfect lie because it’s half true.

“I could crawl into the mind of anyone I feel like, just as I did you, but I'm limited to yours, though.” “Thank goodness,” She said with a long sigh, “Well,” She continued, “The first time you got into my mind, it was horrifying…I don't want to talk about that else my view of you will change.” My eyes narrowed, “You mean when I came to you in the form of ash?” “Yeah, that one. At that moment, a warrior rushed in to report, "Patriarch Atticus, Mr. Asher has returned." Atticus lit up with surprise. "Asher is back? Good. Where is he?"

I shrug. “Okay, I like her.” she points to me and looks at Rhea. “I’m Veronica by the way. Veronica Ryan. Grade B.” “Grade?” I raise a brow, confused. “A Grade basically tells how dangerous a person is. And before you ask, the difference between A’s and B’s is that A’s have committed murder.” “But mine is asterisked?” “It’s never been given before but I’m guessing it means numerous counts of murder.” Yeah.
