Those five wolves were still hanging upside down in the trees but I ordered a couple of warriors to take them back to our pack and lock them straight in the dungeon with the other warriors from this pack that weren’t following Tyler’s orders. They took them away immediately, because we didn’t want the problems while we were cleaning up the mess at our new pack. Tyler took me to the packhouse and we looked around the house. “Go run to that thing you need to get to already.” Yeah, the reason our little picnic got cut short was because Ollie had to meet with his family. Apparently, it was custom that the elders be informed whenever someone from the outside learned about their family secret. And what secret was that, you ask? It was the secret that Oliver King was, and I couldn’t believe I actually believed it, a werewolf. Correction, Ollie was a teen wolf, and not that MTV show version either, but something far more primal and terrifying, but honestly, also pretty cool now that I’ve had time to absorb it.

Ollie really had no other word to describe Werewolves but edgy. It was nothing like what a teenager's room should have looked like but yet once again, Ollie had been stunned into silence. Lilac had been nonchalant while introducing her to the grotesque place she called a room. There were variously sized animal bones then clawed out eyeballs in jars, and even a human finger that held a ring on it laying in a glass case like it was a precious gem.

A few hours earlier... An expected call lights up my phone, and Jason Valentine, “the Wolf,” appears on the screen. Oliver was the one who found him and met with his Wolves in the Underground. The Underground is the secret headquarters of the Wolves below the floors of the BCO Hotel I own in Williamsburg. They wanted discreet access to New York, and they needed my territory in Brooklyn, so I gave them what they asked for. Oliver had seen them in action, and I had been supporting their vision for a couple of years now in exchange for protection and aid whenever necessary.

This room barely had any fresh air. He had to finish his business here as soon as possible. With quick steps and movements he began to dismantle the large cupboard in the room. The cupboard was filled with old books, most of them looking like journals. Hugo pulled out some of the journals and placed them on the table. The man flipped through the journal, looking for notes that mentioned the words “wolvire”, “red moon” and “Kliwon Friday”.

Calhoun said, but his humor vanished as the first of the Iron Hounds broke through the treeline. They were horrific. Massive, coal black wolves with glowing red runes etched into their fur. Leading them was a man on top a horse that looked like it had been stitched together from nightmares. He wore the silver mask of the High Council. "Calhoun Northman, Alpha of the Bloodhound pack!" the masked man shouted, his voice amplified by magic. "You harbor a Lunar Blood. Hand her over for cleansing or your lands will be salted and your empires erased." Cleansing? I do not need to be cleansed.

He should have convinced her to not come… so far convincing her of anything has been successful… Oliver climbed up the side of the warehouse to get a better view through the window. He looked in, seeing nothing, it was completely empty, no sounds, nothing. Just as he was about to head down and go into the warehouse, at the last second he heard them. Barely dodging as a vampire flew over him. Oliver spun to look at him, it was Augustis, “So you’re the rouge coming to derail our system. Why is a werewolf going against his own kind?”

"At this point he needs to know, we need him on side, but he said something vague about this pairing of an Alpha to an Omega...it's crucial for them, he even said to not tell you the photo was fake and let you move on. I asked him point blank is there anything we should know about why this pairing is so important and he looked disturbed and told me to mind my own business...did you find out anything more from William or Willow's uncle?" He absently caressed my shoulders, but I could tell something was bothering him. “When did you figure out Lya was a wolf?” he blurted, pulling Liam’s attention away from the river.
