He gave her an odd look at the sound of her faint giggle, but said nothing as he quickly pulled on his clothes. They’d just finished pulling on their boots when a zombie -who had once been a male human- burst out of the brush. For a zombie, its speed was fairly quick, which led them to believe that it was advanced. It completely ignored them as it headed for the deer.

[Juliet's POV] The music at the celebration party continued. Surrounded by a crowd, Alison basked in the crowd's repetitive praises. Suddenly, a deafening boom came from the city walls. Overlapping growls and roars of zombies tore through the atmosphere. Terror erupted instantaneously. People in the crowd screamed, "It's a swarm of zombies! A massive swarm of zombies!" A guard ran over, staggering along the way. "The lightning barrier on the right of the base has been breached. There's a massive gap. Zombies are coming through soon!"

Only her superior's family can enter and exit the camp without anyone's permission with a group of bodyguards. Andrea Su frowned when she saw the zombie corpse on the ground, in front of Psyche Flint and has an idea of what happened but she stubbornly didn’t want to admit that the strange woman solved the problem before they found out about it. However, she didn’t show it on her face but told the patrolmen to dispose the zombie corpse. Suddenly, the young boy slapped away Psyche Flint’s hand that covered his eyes when he heard Andrea Su’s order to dispose the body. It’s not that he doesn’t want to be separated from his mother’s zombie corpse but wanted to properly bury her.

The first zombie broke through the defenses, its rotting fingers grabbing the edge of the deck as it climbed up! "Ah!" Screams erupted instantly. The zombie was bloated. Its eyes hung on its cheeks as it lunged straight at me. "Clarissa!" Hans yelled, immediately raising his gun and aiming at the zombie in front of me. The next second, he was immediately drawn to Winnie's scream. "Hans! I'm scared!" He hesitated for a second before immediately turning his gun toward the zombies near Winnie. My heart sank to the bottom of my stomach.

*Jaedon’s POV* “You’re saying war?” My best friend and Beta, Peter Normandy raised his eyebrows at me. Peter and I had met when we were children. Our pack, Snow Creek, had taken over his own pack Everforest. Now, the remaining joined us and pledged their loyalty. It hasn’t been a terrible thing for them though. We didn’t have to kill anyone. Their Alpha had been sick and the sickness was spreading. He asked us to take over the healthy of their pack so it wouldn’t have to die off. Our Alpha at the time obliged.

It turns out zombies come from a mutated human gene that activates after death. This mutated gene is inherited by one's father if he carries the mutation.
