Kirra had been excited when she told her what was happening. Emma had worried that she would be mad because Emma was leaving, but Kirra had just made her promise to bring her back a present. They had argued about Kirra having to go to Mimi’s but eventually Kirra had given in. Emma knew that deep down, Kirra didn’t want to be on her own but being a teenager, she had to push against the boundaries. That was fine, as long as she agreed in the end.

After swallowing, he looked at Emma and asked, "Do you find it strange that I want to go to the amusement park?" Confused, Emma asked, "What’s so strange about that?" Landon chuckled softly. "Yeah, it’s not." He truly appreciated Emma's kindness. Her empathy was remarkable, and it made him feel so comfortable around her. She was also gentle and comforting, always knowing what to say and what not to say. After finishing their milkshakes, Landon drove straight to the amusement park. Once they arrived, he was unsure what he wanted to do, so he casually surveyed the amusement rides.
