So I am currently sitting in front of my vanity table while observing my email. After a few moments, I received an email from him. I hesitate, and my heart is racing as I feel so excited about his review. I immediately open his email, and while it's loading, I tuck my hair behind my ears and breathe deeply. The email is now showing a second later, and I immediately read what he sent me. It’s a heavy old thing, and by the time I get it over to the table, I’m out of breath and sweating like I just ran a marathon. Discarding the blanket, I start to read the little book, but the words are swimming in front of my eyes, and nothing’s making sense. Wiping sweat from my brow, I go back to the living area where Glenn left several bottles of juice and water. I grab something, I don’t know what, and on weak legs make my way back to the library.

Heat surged through me, blooming in my chest and creeping slowly into my cheeks as I shifted in my seat, subtly clenching my thighs together. A low buzz vibrated through my body, ignited by the words in the book I held. The tension in my limbs made it nearly impossible to sit still. Every page felt like fire, and I devoured the words faster than I ever had before. It was like my eyes were starved, and the book was a feast—rich, decadent, indulgent.

I relished a meal, relishing flavors and textures. I came back to my room after eating feeling pulled together and refreshed. I started brushing my hair and found something on the floor. I approached to recover it, and my heart leaped when I realized it was Adrian's blueprint. My heart pumped gently as I raised it, piqued and intrigued. I started to read it; my eyes scanned the pages as I absorbed the detail of the project.

The room was immersed in wholesome silence. The only sound heard was the slight grazing of the fork against the plate one in a while. My eyes stayed glued to the fork in my hand, my breathing was weirdly slow, unlike usual. My tongue played in my dry mouth as my mind drifted back to Flare, my conversation with her today, her hurt look on her face, her notes. I didn't over do it, did I?
