I just hadn’t expected him to smell so good, given that he’d been sweaty before dinner and now it was dried to his skin.
He stopped, shifting me closer to his chest. I wrapped an arm around his shoulder as he bent down, opening the door to his room. It was dark, but he didn’t bother with the lights, stepping inside. He let the door swing shut behind us with a soft snick.
He shifted me in his arms again and started walking. I didn’t know where he was taking me, but I didn’t really care. I just wished that he had turned on the lights.
