“Just… hypothetically.” I clasped my hands together. “Let’s say the person is… evil.” She studied me for a moment, clearly confused. “Well,” she said slowly, “according to the old traditions… fated mates can reject each other.” My breath caught slightly. “How?” “There’s a formal way to do it.” She lifted a finger. “You say it like this ‘I, your full name, reject you their full name as my mate.’ So like this, I Maya Rivera reject you Aria Langton as my mate. ”

"Fine then let's reject Monika" .

/This is not good/ Maya whined in fear. My heart jumped into a wild race at her words as realisation dawned on me… No… No .. Aloha Jerome hands me an apple "Stand over there" he ordered With trembling hands, I took the application from him. "Wha…what are you going to do to ke?" I asked He paused as though regarding my words, his hands on a bow. "I'm going to use you as my target. You will stand over there and place that apple on your head"

I straightened up, taking a shaky breath. "I should go," I murmured, turning away. A sharp ache pierced my chest, the weight of rejection pressing down on me like a heavy stone. Three men had turned me away tonight, but if I was honest with myself, it was his rejection that cut the deepest. Not Knox's indifference or Kane's coldness, but Chase's refusal stung in a way I hadn't anticipated.

“…please do not reject me, Camilla. I plead with you.” “Accept it,” I gritted out, my hands curling even more by my side if possible. “I do not understand what in the sick fuck is going on, what sort of sick joke fate and the universe is playing on me to pair us up now of all time, but accept the rejection.” My heart was hammering behind my ribcage, a mixture of anger and confusion pairing to make up a raging storm inside. “I do not, and will never accept you as my mate. Certainly, no sick fate can make me be with you after everything.”

Then— A bright red exclamation mark appeared beside the message. System Message: Message sent, but rejected by the recipient. The words hit harder than he expected. Like a door slammed shut—permanently.

“That’s all.” Without giving myself another chance to second-guess the decision… I click Accept.

He was once the man I loved with every one of my being and would sacrifice anything for. He stared at me sadly. “I…well, yes. Good thing you caught on fast. Unfortunately, you and I have to bid our farewell here.” He said and after a beat… “I, Zane Carson, reject you, Elodie Dawson as my fated mate and hereby sever all ties with you.” I felt my heart being rippled into two but I couldn’t show it. “I accept your rejection.” I replied, calm and collected. The sense of satisfaction that was just on his face vanished, and he went stiff, bewildered that I just accepted his decision and didn’t make any attempt to beg him.

I gave him a sad smile hoping he wouldn't be upset. "Sheesh, here I was trying to approach you and find a way to tell you I just wanted to be friends too. The reason for it is I have been feeling a slight pull to someone but I don't know if it's there because we haven't completed the rejection," he replied while rubbing the back of his neck. Without hesitation, " I, Lilith Conner, of the Silver Moon Pack accept your rejection, Silas Morgan, as my mate."
