Then I pulled the canisters from the bag. Gasoline filled the air, sharp and suffocating. I traced paths along the floor, across the walls, into the office where my name had been written in shadows.
Lucio followed, silent, his face unreadable.
When it was done, I stood in the center of the room, lighter in hand, flames reflected in my mind before they even existed.
