This is not how I want my future to go. “Yes doll.” I flirted as I gave her a half grin. She rolled her eyes at me and started walking into the tunnel. “Do you know how to turn these on?” flicking the lantern, and looking for a switch. “Um, no but let me see…” Scarlet trailed off as she went back to the office. I heard some papers being moved. My face was inches from the lantern trying to find a switch when suddenly, they turned on. “Got it!” Flinching hard, I rubbed my eyes as all I saw was a little ball of light in my vision. “I’m blinded.” I muttered as water spilled from my eyes.

Her claws were out in the open too. “You want to see it too. Don't you?” One of the snarling witches snaked her hands around Lana's shoulders, hissing. “Touch it,” she commanded. Lana wasn't hesitant. She stretched her hands, wrapping her slender fingers over the Sapphire. What followed next was the two flaming lanterns, igniting the other two that were out cold. Together, all of them formed a thick burning orb that shot vertically into the sky. Her head flew back, energy flowing in every vein that was in her body. The hissing stopped. The tiny voices, too. Nothing moved. Not even the air around. Time froze. Like a drug addict high on cocaine, clarity overtook her mind. She was floating.

Blake, Tate and Hong seem reluctant to follow me. I walk slowly, not taking my eyes off the witches, as I head towards the lantern. As I close in on the witches I notice their eyes are completely black which worries me, are they still casting a spell on the other three. Are they in pain? I turn to look back at my friends who seem okay, they are just watching me in horror. I push my body to take another step and as I reach the witches, their heads snap in my direction, their eyes still covered in black. Some freaky shit! I ignore their attention and continue to walk to the lantern. I hear their bodies turn watching me as they continue to cast some kind of spell. As I reach it, the candle was
