Ejima dropped her broom reluctantly and walked into her hut. She hung the ritual robe—made from the hide of an antelope—over her pelt and collected her divination bag. This was not her job. Her job was to accept burnt offerings from the people. She was not responsible for the daily activities of the village. Why would the Dibia travel out of the community like that?
