A NEUTRAL POV THE MOON REALM; MOONILIA There is an emergency in the realm of the Moon goddess. The moon is MISSING! The pawns on the chessboard have been moving kind of funny, but even the rebellion is going according to plan, which is exactly why the moon goddess sent Ruby as another pawn on the chessboard, to ensure that everything goes exactly as planned and that the war that is coming has its desired effect.

He just laughed, looking way too pleased with himself. I huffed, shoving another bite of steak into my mouth. “So, where are you going again? You never really said.” Rhys relaxed against the headboard. “I’m heading to different packs to deliver invitations for the Moon Festival. It’s coming up soon, and since I’m Beta, I get the lovely job of running all over the place.” I perked up. “Moon Festival? What’s that?” His eyes lit up with excitement. “Oh, it’s the best time of the year! It’s a week-long event filled with dueling, dancing, drinking, feasting, and all sorts of fun stuff. Think of it as a giant werewolf carnival.”

Within seconds everyone had shifted and was chasing after him.

“That means more than I thought it would.” He nodded and stood, brushing invisible dust from his pants. “So… should I expect you back at the training grounds?” I raised an eyebrow. “You’ll get your bruises tomorrow.” Ryan grinned. “That’s more like it. Just enjoy the view for now, moon goddess.” He gave a mock bow and walked off, his golden hair catching the moonlight like fire. I stayed there, watching the butterflies drift over the water, my staff resting against the bench beside me. Tomorrow, I would try again.
