Taboo Dance

Taboo Dance

Ángela was the typical housewife married to a doctor. Everyone thought she had a perfect life. And while they weren’t wrong about the material comforts, they were completely mistaken about her marriage. Cristian, her husband, has never loved her and has never treated her well. Their union was arranged by their parents. When they married, it settled a million-dollar debt owed by Ángela’s father to her now father-in-law. She lived a monotonous life, with her only escape being her dance classes. But everything changed overnight when she discovered her husband had a mistress—and had no intention of leaving her. Out of spite, Ángela accepted a job as a Burlesque dancer at a cabaret. She also began an affair with Eduardo, the club’s owner, who turned out to be her brother-in-law and the black sheep of the family. What follows is a spiral of complications. Ángela becomes entangled in a forbidden and dangerous romance. She comes face to face with the world of organized crime. Her husband, upon learning of her infidelity, grows obsessively jealous. Along the way, she meets a friend who tries to help her escape this toxic environment. The choices Ángela makes from here on will determine the course of her future. This book has a great pace. It’s not about the MC suffering the whole time like other books which is a breath of fresh air. Loving the references to 4c hair and the MC having braids. Hopefully the cover of the book gets updated to reflect what the characters look like since the MC is melanated ......

The Lies We Call Love

The Lies We Call Love

“Fine,” I heard myself say, the word tasting like rust. “You want an open marriage? We’ll do open.” A slow smile curved his mouth—victory, not warmth. “Good girl. Then I suppose you won’t mind if I reintroduce Kisha.” The camera panned. There she was, curled on what I now realized was our hotel suite couch, her legs tucked under a cashmere throw that used to be mine. She waved, manicured nails glinting, belly softly rounded under a silk camisole. My world tilted. I forced a smile that felt like glass. “So she’s your girlfriend?” Daniel’s hand settled possessively on that gentle swell. “Not just my girlfriend,” he said, eyes locked on mine. “The mother of my unborn child.” Jayla Carmichael smiles for the cameras as the perfect senator's wife while her world burns. But queens don't kneel. They conquer. Fueled by whiskey and wrath, Jayla ensnares Warren Christopher, a brooding billionaire CEO, after saving his empire in a bar-side twist of fate. Love was the first lie. Revenge is the foreplay, and the truth? it's coming for them all...naked, ruthless and dripping in karma. Will Jayla's vengeance destroy her soul or will warrens fire forge something eternal?. This book isn't just romance, it's war with benefits.

My Wife’s Last Mistake

My Wife’s Last Mistake

To give my wife a sense of security, I stepped back once the company was on track and took over things at home. In ten years, Adeline Hemsley had never brought me to a single company gala. When the tenth anniversary celebration was announced at a five-star hotel, I finally asked if I could come with her. She was slipping into a pair of heels, not even looking in my direction. "You're my husband. If you show up, people won't feel comfortable." Before leaving, she leaned down and gave me a quick kiss. "Be good. Once this busy stretch is over, we'll take Cole to Silver Coast." The door clicked shut. I stood there for a long moment, staring at the Legos and picture books scattered across the floor. A familiar heaviness settled in my chest. Our three-year-old came running over, holding up a black phone. "Dad! Mom forgot her phone!" I hesitated. This wasn't the one she normally used. The moment my fingers brushed the screen, a message preview popped up. [Babe, I picked out a suit for the gala. It's only 6,000. You’ll get it for me, right?]

My Husband Protected A Murderer

My Husband Protected A Murderer

My father was one of the best scientists in the world, and he was kidnapped. Three days later, they found his corpse by the river. I kept vigil for an entire night. Henry Franke, my husband, pitied me and swore to find the murderer so that he could help me take revenge, but after the funeral, I heard the university student he was sponsoring say, “Henry, I just couldn’t stand Professor Smith insulting me during his lecture, and I wanted to scare him a bit. I wasn’t expecting the kidnappers to kill him. I don’t want to go to jail!” Henry sighed. “You were too impulsive, but Professor Smith was in the wrong too. I’ll get this settled for you, but I suppose Luna won’t get her revenge.” I felt my mind go blank in shock, but I suppressed my rage and left quietly. What Henry did not know was that the medicine that could help him stand again had eight doses. The first seven were all slow-acting toxins, and only the last one was the antidote that could truly cure him. However, they had killed the only person who could create the antidote.

The Moonlight Express

The Moonlight Express

My mate, Luther Evans, had spent 20 thousand dollars on two first-class tickets for the Moonlight Express to Vespera Coast. Just as we were about to board, he pulled me aside and gave my seat to my foster sister, Zoey Turner. He explained, "There's only one empty seat left on the train, and Zoey's son has never seen the ocean before. This is the perfect chance. Kids can't be separated from their mothers, so I'll take them first and get them settled, then come back for you." I nodded and stepped off the train, watching it disappear into the distance. Once they reached the beach, a friend asked Luther why I hadn't come along. He was busy inflating a pool float for Zoey, answering casually without looking up. "The Moonlight Express runs every three days. Avery Smith can just buy her own ticket and come later. I'll pick up some gifts to make it up to her. She's really understanding and won't stay mad at me." A bitter smile tugged at the corners of my mouth. The whole family had always favored Zoey, and now even my own mate was no different. Since nobody wanted to see me anyway, I decided I would leave in three days.

When the Last Rejection Turned Into a Plea

When the Last Rejection Turned Into a Plea

Rocco Falcone, who is the Falcone family's Don and my so-called husband, hangs up on me for what feels like the 99th time. Having been diagnosed with leukemia, I haul my ravaged body into the family lawyer's office. "I'm here to file for a divorce," I said. … When Rocco hears about it, he barges in with my family ten minutes later. The moment he enters, he slaps me. "Did you use the emergency line just to ruin Sofia's big night? Are you out of your mind?" Lily Marone, my mom, snatches the diagnosis right out of my hand and skims through it. She chuckles dismissively. "Did you fake being sick just to get attention? How many lies have you told since you were a kid, Claire?" Sofia Moretti holds Rocco's arm with tears in her eyes. "Forgive me, Claire. I shouldn't have taken the position. Please stop hurting yourself and Rocco." I wipe the blood from my mouth and turn back to the lawyer. "I have no family left. Please hurry with the divorce paperwork. I need it settled before my cremation in three days."
