Robin said with a smile. This pissed off others. Burns was impressed by his response. He was smiling inside his heart.

Her shoulders relaxed slightly, and she offered a small, careful smile. “Thank you,” she said softly. Ivy frowned, genuinely confused. Her brows drew together as she searched Riley’s face. “For what?” Riley’s lips curved faintly, the smile tinged with something tired. “For stopping him from smoking.” Ivy blinked, the tension in her posture easing just a fraction. “That’s what this is about.” Riley nodded, her hands clasping loosely in front of her as if grounding herself. “I tried. For years. Doctors tried. Friends tried. Threats, ultimatums, reason. Nothing ever worked.”

Michelle felt the weight of Raymond’s gaze pressing down on her as she stared at the video on his phone. The grainy footage played continuously, showing her in a tense argument with a tall, handsome shadowed figure. Her heart pounded violently, and she clenched her fists, knowing she could no longer avoid the truth. She needed to tell Raymond the truth. She took a deep breath, steadying herself. "His name is Richard Smith." Raymond's expression was cold, but his grip on the phone tightened. "And who exactly is this Richard Smith?"

After all, we were all friends for a very long time, and just because I was no longer with Damian didn’t mean I had to stop being friends with them. Riley was my best friend after all. “Oh Ari…” Riley said, her tone softening. Riley was currently pregnant and very emotional, so by that tone, I knew too well that she was only seconds away from crying. “What?” I laughed. “You keep smiling.” “Because I’m happy.” I smiled, and that somehow made her eyes water. “Oh no.” “Oh yes.” She pointed dramatically. “Can’t you see I’m already emotional, please don’t do this to me.” She said, and I burst out laughing.

The crowd burst into laughter. Loud. Riley’s ears rang. The laughter sounded distant, like it was coming from underwater. Her face burned with shame. Her hands trembled violently at her sides. Ken gently helped her stand straight again, as though he hadn’t just humiliated her in front of everyone. Riley forced a nervous smile. Her heart was still pounding. Everything felt unreal. Like a bad dream she couldn’t wake up from. Just then, Don R.J. Hale stepped forward. He smiled warmly and patted Riley’s back softly.

His glare follows Flynn all the way to the sidelines, where I stand frozen, clipboard pressed so hard to my chest it almost hurts. Riley catches my eye, stepping closer, sequined top glinting under the late afternoon sun. Her mouth curls into a thin, dangerous smile. “Enjoy it while it lasts,” she murmurs, voice sugar‑sweet but sharp. “The new toy shine always fades…I will make sure of it..” I swallow hard, forcing my shoulders back. “It’s just a game,” I say, even though my voice sounds weaker than I want. Riley’s smirk widens. “Sure,” she breathes, turning away to trail after Tom, whose jaw is ticking in anger.

Ramlah scoffed, her patience wearing thin. "Exactly what you heard!" Dr. Muslim stood. "Okay," he heaved a sigh. "Calm down, Ramlah. Tell me what's wrong. What has suddenly gotten into you?" He questioned. "Why are you acting like this?"
