The King of the Void looked at the weapon. For the first time... It took a single step backward. "You forged..." Its voice carried something unfamiliar. "...the Blade of Beginning." The Creator smiled. "No. They did." The white blade released a pulse of light that spread across the collapsing world. Dead trees bloomed. Broken stone became green with life. The frightened Gatekeepers felt hope returning to their hearts. Even the widening crack in the sky stopped growing.

Salj came out through the door. “Here is your sword.” Salj said as he put the newly brandished sword on the counter. Matthew picked it up and took out the sword from its sheath, revealing a shiny and sharp sword. The sharp edge of the sword was bright red and was seemingly radiating a red glow while the blade shone under the light of the shop’s lamp. Even when he bought it it didn’t look like this. It was like seeing a newly made sword. He had no words to express his amazement.

I took a deep breath to calm myself down, then I continued again, the wind whipped around me as I turned around. The sound of the blade scraping against the wooden surface filled the air as I did so with each swing. The smell of freshly cut grass and blades of grass mingled together with my sweat, which hung thickly over my skin. The ground seemed almost alive beneath my feet, pulsating softly with energy.
