She read the words one after the other; as her finger touched a part of the words, a secret hole opened, revealing a large book. Chloe was standing behind her, curious of what's happening She carried it, blow on it as the book was covered in dust. Chloe handed her a cloth and dusted it with it. The first thing her eye catches was the words on the front cover, "Forbidden" She read slowly.

“Not a chance!” “It’s for the best, and you know it,” I retorted before blocking him out of my mind, focusing on the woman I craved but could not have. Truth be told, it was not even about ethics. Our laws allowed us to claim our mates, regardless of status, provided we were meant to be. No one would dare to ruin his life over a chosen mate, but a fated one?
