Wings burst from his back with a sound like thunder cracking inside the earth.
She should’ve run.
Instead, Lustre stepped toward him, drawn by something that pulsed between them like wildfire in her belly.
Jammy’s dragon eyes locked onto her, no longer amber, but molten gold split by black slits.
“Lustre,” his voice rumbled through the chamber, low and seismic, a growl formed in a beast’s throat. “You said you wanted all of me.”
She nodded, heat racing down her spine.
“I want to feel you. Even like this.”
