Swindled By Hubby Who Faked His Death

Swindled By Hubby Who Faked His Death

In my previous life, my husband had suddenly died of a brain hemorrhage, leaving behind a massive mountain of debt. For the sake of my son, who was still in high school, I sold the house my parents had left me, gritted my teeth, and worked three jobs to pay off the debt. Overworked and exhausted, my health deteriorated, and I eventually collapsed in the hospital. From my bed, I could hear my son, now a graduate from a prestigious university, smiling as he spoke on the phone. "Hello? Dad, it's me. Yeah, she's about to die. I bought insurance for her, so we should get close to one million. You and Aunt Rena should come back home right away." The "Aunt Rena" he spoke of was none other than my husband's childhood friend and neighbor who had known him for years. It turned out that the debts were all part of a massive money-laundering scheme between my husband and his childhood sweetheart. They had fabricated false accounts to hide their crime, and he had faked his death to escape the law. My son, eager to become the heir to wealth, had stood by and watched me work myself to death. When I next opened my eyes, I was back in the moment of my husband's feigned brain hemorrhage, the day it had all begun.

The Dragon Lord Who Never Believed Me

The Dragon Lord Who Never Believed Me

My fated mate shut me out of our bond for the ninety-ninth time just as the last spark of dragonfire inside me began to die. I walked into the Oath Hall of Obsidian Keep alone. Black stone stretched beneath my feet, cold enough to bite through my slippers, and every step made the cracked channels around my dragon core grind deeper into my chest. “I’m here to renounce the Obsidian Court and dissolve my life-bond with the Dragon Lord.” The clerk took in my bloodless face and lowered his voice. “Lady Ashton, once I set the seal, the Court will no longer be required to protect you. Are you certain?” My dragonfire had been unstable since birth, leaving me weaker than most dragonkin. When I was ten, my father adopted Cecilia. She had a gift for explaining every disaster in the gentlest possible voice until everyone believed I was the jealous sister who couldn’t stand to share. My parents hadn’t always been unloving. They had simply forgotten how to tell the difference between the daughter who was crying and the daughter who was lying. Cassian and I had been fated for years, yet he had never crowned me his Dragon Queen. He rarely took me to Court gatherings. Most of Obsidian Keep didn’t even know I was his mate. “That’s all right.” I swallowed the taste of blood and kept my voice steady. “I’ll be dead in three days.”

The Bride Who Vanished Before the Proposal

The Bride Who Vanished Before the Proposal

The moment I decided to leave Vincent Graves, I did three things. First, I recalled the pregnancy report I had been about to forward to him and replaced it with a scheduled breakup message. Second, I called the bridal boutique and cancelled the custom order for my wedding dress. I had been measured three times for it. I had waited five months. I never wore it. I never would. Third, I called Dr. Helena Shaw and accepted the invitation I had turned down a week ago. An eight-year medical research program. Completely sealed. No contact with the outside world. Before he could spring the proposal he had been planning, I vanished from his life completely. He never noticed that while he let Cora take my place at the wedding rehearsal and stayed out all night, I was quietly erasing every trace of myself, step by step. I became exactly the wife Vincent always said he wanted: reasonable, gracious, unbothered. But after I was gone, he lost control and asked me, "Why aren't you angry? Don't you love me anymore?" I said nothing. I only remembered the flirtatious voice messages Cora had sent him, the ones I had heard from his phone. And I calmly dialed the number that would take me away.

Even if i still read it, this book stopped being interesting after Grand pure emperor was killed...(that is ch. 2200 maybe) It is like realms are only introduced after he reaches a peak of the previous. There is nothing special about these realms and there is nothing special about the book anymore.

The Billionaire Who Regretted Letting Me Go

The Billionaire Who Regretted Letting Me Go

"Sign the papers, Sophia. We both know this was never a real marriage." Five years ago, those words were the last thing Alexander Knight said to her before she walked out of his penthouse — and out of his life. He never knew she was already carrying his son. Sophia Hart rebuilt herself from nothing: a name, a career, and a son who has his father's eyes, his father's stubborn jaw, and absolutely no idea who that father is. She swore she'd never let Alexander Knight back into either of their lives. Fate didn't ask her permission. When Alexander spots a little boy throwing the exact tantrum he used to throw at five years old, the resemblance stops him cold — and the math isn't hard to do. His son. The one thing his money, his name, and his empire never bought him a say in. For the first time in his life, Alexander Knight isn't in control of anything. He wants Sophia back — not the polished, guarded woman standing in front of him now, but the version of her only he ever knew, the one who used to fall asleep mid-sentence on his shoulder during late-night work calls. He's willing to burn down every deal, every rival, every lie his own family has been hiding, just to get her back. But Sophia has spent five years learning how to survive without him. Trust isn't something she's willing to hand over twice. And somewhere in his own boardroom, someone has known about his son for years — and has every reason to make sure father and son never find their way back to each other. This time, if Alexander loses her, he won't just lose the woman he loves. He'll lose his son before he ever really had him.

Leaving The Guy Who Loved Only Himself

Leaving The Guy Who Loved Only Himself

After dating Scott Kenta for 10 years, I said to him, "Scott, I'm pregnant." The file in his hands slipped and hit the floor. He frowned, clearly irritated. "Don't be ridiculous," he said. "This is a critical moment—my company's going public. I never planned on having a child." "It's fine. Your career matters more," I said, smiling gently. He didn't catch the meaning behind my words. I was pregnant, yes. But he wasn't the father.
