Seth “You know, I’ve always wondered how you did it,” August said as he caressed the snow globe that lay on the top of the shelf by the wall. I swallowed, “how did you know I was here?” He froze, his hands inches away from touching the globe again, “my prints were registered to this house because I was afraid that something would happen to my Uncle and I would need to reach him,” he huffed. “So imagine my surprise when I see that my prints have been erased on the eve of his funeral and the new print is a certain Seth who used to be my boyfriend,” he spat.

Seth mused as he stood next to June who was still hovering mid air, “you are beautiful.” June wouldn’t control the pink tint that spread over his cheeks. He just continue to cast protection spell on Coral. “It’s useless,” Seth said. June gave Seth a confused look. Seth just smirked. Suddenly, his wings sprouted from his back. They were dark and big. A crow’s wing. He flew next to June and gripped his hand, stopping him from casting the protection spell. “What are you doing?” June demanded. He pulled his hand away from Seth and glared at him.

His hair was a mess, like he had run his fingers through it a dozen times. He looked... different. Less like the asshole she knew. He looked…human. Normal. Seth's eyes met hers, his lips curled up in a tired but heart warming smile. “Thea.” He said playfully, his eyes sparkling. She stood there, dumbfounded. Is she in the right house or does Seth Blackwood have a twin she knew nothing of? Is he…smiling at her? Thea found herself melting under his gaze. His tensed shoulders were more relaxed and the frown on his face was replaced with a playful smile and his blue eyes stared right back at her. Not through her, but at her.

“Understand what, Twilight? That you agreed to let your boss and his clients use you—for money?” “Stop!” Twilight snapped. Seth scoffed, looking away and mumbling something under his breath. “You don’t know anything about me, so you have no right to judge,” she whispered. “Then tell me,” Seth said, sitting up and leaning forward, resting his elbows on his knees. “Tell me everything and help me understand.”

EDINA POV It’s hard to tell when it’s day or night in the Twilight Court—always hovering somewhere in between, caught in that breathless moment before the sun tips too far or the stars take full command.
