When I opened my mouth to respond, my father spoke before me. He yelled, "She's sixteen; she hasn't even Shifted. She cannot be your partner because you are old enough to be her father. Not nearly, but sure, I get your argument, snorted Seth. He let out a loud sigh and looked concerned as he ran his fingers down his face. I wasn't really sure how to approach the whole thing. I had not yet Shifted, so I had not experienced the mating link. But I couldn't help but feel a strong attraction to Seth.

I calmly reassured her, “No, don’t come. It’s already late. You should get some rest.” How could I not want someone to stay with me? But Leah had her own family now; her baby was just a month old. Asking her to leave her child to spend a night with me didn't feel right. "I just asked my husband. The other woman is Seth's student! He's such a creep, going after his own student." He raised his foot to kick Ryan, but Ryan suddenly stood up and grabbed his foot, twisting it backward. Seth fell heavily onto the floor once more and grunted. He turned as pale as a sheet when he saw Ryan standing upright. His voice trembled. "H-how can you be standing? That's impossible!" At that moment, Ryan's phone vibrated. He glanced at the message and picked me up at once to head outside. When he walked past Seth, he said in an ice-cold tone, "It's time for you to die."

Alex~ I’m on my bed scrolling my phone, half‑asleep, when I hear the shower shut off. Then Seth steps out. Towel low on his hips, water still clinging to his skin. His chest is broad and damp, hair curling from the steam. He doesn’t look at me at first just runs the towel over his neck and shoulders, slow, the movement pulling every line of muscle taut. Far from it even, the things Seth did to Len was even worse than Duncan's beatings. Seth had been one of the most devout members of Silver Sovereign.
