I growl in her direction, but she remains unmoved.
Vanessa waltzes around my desk, running her finger along the edge until she is standing right next to me. “You know, Bussie,” she says, and I roll my eyes at the nickname she gave to me when we were children. “I saw something very interesting at the dress shop a few days ago.”
“What was that,” I growl irritably.
“Your mate,” Vanessa says with a sneer spread across her lips. “Did you know that she has witchcraft tattooed up and down her arms?” Vanessa’s eyes are wide as she feigns innocence.
