Taye exclaimed in surprise. Kartika opens her eyes slowly. She hears the voice of someone she knows asks her, “Kartika! Are you OK?” Kartika then moves her head to where the voice came from. She”s surprised to see a guy who is standing there without any scratches. But wait, he has an unusual thing with him. “Alfi!” Kartika exclaimed. “You're Alfi right?” She asked in amazement. “Yup! The one and only. Sorry, I”m late.” Alfi answered smiling at her.

It made the roof of her mouth dry. “I hope this teleportation is fast,” Venus growled at the vingsai and Ildara. Venus gripped the vingsai's right arm which fortunately was wrapped in the robe, but inevitably the girl was surprised too. She loosened her grip. The flesh under the sleeve of the robe was very soft. She did not understand how a creature like this could live. Not finished yet Venus cursed in the heart, darkness sucked up them suddenly, make the girl stutter in surprise.

“Do not start.” He laughed softly. “First day?” “Unfortunately.” “You’ll survive.” “I doubt it.” He shook his head, amused. “Dad survived working with Veda. You’ll be fine.” That almost made me laugh. Almost. Before I could answer, the sound of heels clicking against the floor made me stiffen slightly. Veda walked in dressed sharply already, sunglasses resting on top of her head even though we were indoors. Her eyes swept over me from head to toe. “At least you do not look embarrassing,” she said before sitting down. The little confidence I had disappeared instantly.
